Beneficial Knowledge

 Al-Imām ibn al-Qayyim [may Allāh have mercy on him] said: *“The Qur’ān is a remedy for that which is within the chest, a repeller of that which Satan casts into it, by way ˹of evil˺ lurking whispers, desires and corrupt intents.”*  Ighāthat ul-Lahfān 1/157 | Al-Imām ibn al-Qayyim [may Allāh have mercy on him]

 Shaykh ibn ‘Uthaymeen [may Allāh have mercy on him] said: *“Courteousness towards children and expressing compassion towards them is from the causes of entering Paradise and salvation from the Fire.”* Sharh Riyādh us-Sāliheen, 3/113| Shaykh ibn ‘Uthaymeen [may Allāh have mercy on him]

 

 Al-Imām ibn Battāl [may Allāh have mercy on him] said: “Whomsoever has *abundant sins* and desires for Allāh to remove these sins from him without burdening himself, then let him seize the opportunity and remain seated in his place after the completion of prayer, in order that he may take advantage of the Angels, whom seek increase in their supplication for him and increase in their invoking for [Allāh’s] forgiveness for him, he who [has abundant sins] is awaiting in hope for his response [from Allāh, Exalted be He].” Sharh Saheeh ul-Bukhāri, 2/95| Al-Imām ibn Battāl [may Allāh have mercy on him] "Very easy way to get your sins forgiven"

 

 THE SUNNAH IS (Wahy) REVELATION FROM Allah Shaykh Saalih Aal Shaykh Hafidhaullaah said in his explanation of ‘The Superiority of Islam’: And the Sunnah is the sister of the Qur’an in that it is a revelation from Allah. And that the Sunnah is an explanation of the Qur’an and it expounds (in detail) on its (the Qur’an’s) rulings. It is from Allah. Indeed Hassaan ibn ‘Atiyah rahimahullaah used to say: “Jibreel used to descend upon the Prophet sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam with the Sunnah just like he used to descend upon him with the Qur’an.”  Also it is authentically reported from him sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam that he said: “Verily I have been given the Qur’an and it’s like with it.” And Allah azza wa jall said: “Allah has sent down to you the Book and Al-Hikmah, and taught you that which you knew not. And Ever Great is the Grace of Allah unto you (O Muhammad sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam).” [An-Nisa:113] And Al-Hikmah (mentioned in the verse) is the Sunnah. So the command of the Proph

 

 

 

 Patience is of three types: 1. Patience in obeying Allaah. 2. Patience in refraining from that which Allaah has prohibited. 3. Patience in accepting the decree of Allaah when it is hurtful. All three types of patience are combined in fasting.  [لطائف المعارف صحفة ١٥٠]

 *‎‘Abdullāh Ibn al-Mubārak (رحمه الله) said:* ‎The insightful and wise do not trust that they are safe from 4 things: ‎1) A past sin about which it is not known what the Lord Almighty will do. ‎2) The remaining lifespan wherein it is not known what destruction lies. 3) Some (apparent) advantage a person is given but which could be a lure (from Allāh) in recompense for his wrongdoing. 4) A misguidance that has been beautified (so that he thinks it is guidance) and a momentary deviation of the heart, for a person can be stripped of his religion without realising it. *— Mentioned in “Siyar A’lām an-Nubalā’” (8/406).*

 

 

 

 Al-Imām ibn Bāz [may Allāh have mercy on him] said: “A sin committed in the ten days of Dhul-Hijjah is graver and worse [in punishment] than a sin committed in [the month of] Rajab, Sha’bān [and other months].” Majmū Fatāwa 9/389 | Ash-Shaykh ibn Bāz [may Allāh have mercy on him]

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Sticking To The Sunnah Is Better Shaykh Al-Albaani [رحمه الله] said: «العبرة ليست بكثرة العبادة وإنما بكونها على السنة، بعيدة عن البدعة ، وقد أشار إلى هذا ابن مسعود ـ رضي الله عنه ـ بقوله أيضا: 'اقتصادٌ في سنة ، خير من اجتهاد في بدعة.'» ❝The importance is not of performing a large amount of worship, but rather, is it according to the Sunnah and far away from Bida’. Ibn Masood [رضي الله عنه] also indicated to this point in his saying: 'sticking to the Sunnah is better than striving in Bida.'❞ [Silsilah Saheehah, (No. 2005) | Translated By Abbas Abu Yahya Miraath Al-Anbiyya]

 Narrations from the Salaf Concerning Judging One by His Companionship Aboo Qilaabah (d.104H) rahimahullaah, “May Allaah fight the poet who said,  ‘Do not ask about a person, ask about his associate; Since every person follows his associate.” I say, it was as if Aboo Qilaabah admired the one who recited the poetry, that was ’Adee  Ibn Zayd al-’Ibaadee. Stated al-Asma’ee, ‘I have never seen a piece of poetry resembling the Sunnah, more than this statement of ’Adee.” BENEFIT Said al-A’mash (d.148H) - rahimahullaah, “They (the Salaf) did not used to ask anything more about a person after having asked three affairs: whom he walks with, whom he enters upon, and whom he associates with amongst the people,”  al-Ibaanah (2/478).  Refer to al-Ibaanah (2/439).  WARNING AGAINST THE FALSE PRINCIPLE -"TAKING THE GOOD AND LEAVING THE BAD" Sheikh al-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah (d.728 AH, may Allah have mercy upon him) said; "It is hated for the one who does not have the ability to critique and distinguish (between truth and falsehood) to look in the books that have a number of fabricated narrations, and misguided opinions like the books of the people of innovation, and it is hated to take knowledge from The Qassaas (storytellers) and their likes who tell many lies in their speech, even if they speak much of the truth.”  [An-Najm al-Baadee p. 27]

 

 The First Deception Of Iblees Ibn Al-Jawzi [D. 597 A.H.] [رحمه الله] said: «اعلم أن أول تلبيس إبليس على الناس صدُّهم عن العلم، لأن العلم نور، فإذا أطفأ مصابيحهم خبّطهم في الظلام كيف شاء» ❝Know that the first deception of Iblees upon the people was to restrain and prevent them from knowledge, because knowledge is Noor [Light], so if Iblees extinguishes their lanterns then he causes them to wander around in the dark however he wants.❞ [Talbees Iblees, (1/389) | Translated By Abbas Abu Yahya Miraath al-Anbiyya]

 Fudayl ibn ’Iyyād said: *If you are able to be unknown, then do so. What does it matter to you if none knows you? What does it matter to you that none praises you? Why would it matter to you that you are criticized by the people if you are (considered) praiseworthy by Allāh?* 📚[At-Tawādu’ wal-Khumool by Abū Bakr Al-Qurashī pg.44 | Translated by: Raha Batts]

 عن عمر بن الخطاب رضي الله عنه  قال: إِيَّاكُمْ وَالدَّيْنَ فَإِنَّ أَوَّلَهُ هَمٌّ وَآخِرَهُ حَرْبٌ الموطأ ٢/٧٧٠ | الإمام مالك رحمه الله  ‘Umar ibn al-Khattāb [may Allāh be pleased with him] said:  “Beware of debt, for it begins with worry and it ends with war.” Al-Muwatta’ 2/770, #2239 | Al-Imām Mālik [may Allāh have mercy on him]

 Don't count your good deeds, do it only to please Allah , seeking His Rewards

 How to control evil desires and inclination and avoid sins, evil deeds and bad deeds?

 “When the pilgrims returned from Hajj, ‘Abd-Allāh ibn ‘Umar [may Allāh be pleased with him and his father] would say [to those returning]: *‘May Allāh accept your rituals, magnify your reward and compensate your expenditure.’”* Musannaf ibn Abi Shaybah, 15814 | Al-Imām ibn Abu Shaybah [may Allāh have mercy on him]

 ✒ A Good End Prophet Muḥammad Ṣallallāhu-ʿAlaihi Wa Sallam said: “When Allāh Wills good for a slave He uses him.”, He ﷺ was asked: “How does Allāh use him?”,  So he ﷺ replied: “H✒ A Good End Prophet Muḥammad Ṣallallāhu-ʿAlaihi Wa Sallam said: “When Allāh Wills good for a slave He uses him.”, He ﷺ was asked: “How does Allāh use him?”,  So he ﷺ replied: “He guides him to do good deeds (Tawbah and ʿIbādah) before death then takes away (his soul) upon that!!”  [مختصر صحيح الجامع الصغير برقم ٣٠٥]

 ✒ Eemān Prophet Muḥammad Ṣallallāhu-ʿAlaihi Wa Sallam said: *“And indeed Allāh gives world (Dunyā) to the one whom He Loves and to the one whom He doesn’t Love but He never gives faith (Eemān) to anyone EXCEPT for the one who is BELOVED to Him.”*  [سلسلة الأحاديث الصحيحة ٢٧١٤] Wealth, Children, Property, Money,  Prosperity, Growth, Blessings to Everyone in world but Iman, faith only to whom Allah loves

 Ibn mas'ood narrates that the Prophet  Muḥammad Ṣallallāhu-ʿAlaihi Wa Sallam was asked about priding oneself in clothing and footwear. He replied: *"Verily Allah is beautiful and loves beauty; Pride is rejecting the truth and belittling people"*  [Saheeh Muslim] إن الله جميل يحب الجمال ، الكبر بطر الحق وغمط الناس

 *IS IT NOT THE TIME THAT WE DO THIS?* Supplicate like a drowning person: Hudhaifah رضي الله عنه said:  *❝Soon a time is coming upon the people when no one will be saved except the one who supplicates, like how a drowning person would supplicate.❞*  [Musannaf ibn Abee Shaibah (29173, 37145, 37146) and Shu`ab al-Imaan (1078)]

 

 

  Prophets bodies are not consumed by earth. Their bodies do not become dust.

 Ḥasan al-Baṣrī رحمه الله said: "Read from the Qur'ān what is prohibited for you and if it does not stop you (from committing the prohibitions) then you are not reading it correctly.  Perhaps a person who memorises fiqh (knowledge) doesn't implement what he memorises and for whoever's knowledge does not benefit him, his ignorance harms him."  [أحمد في الزهد١٦٦٧]

They are your only True Friends in this Life and in the Hereafter. ☂Not everybody is out there to judge you, there are some who want the best for you and want to help you get into Al-Jannah, value them. ☂Indeed, a friend who doesn't care about your Aakhirāh is not really your friend. ☂Sometimes the hardest person for you to correct is yourself. There is no shame in being wrong, the shame is in choosing to stay on the wrong path. ☂Whatever takes you NEAR to Allah, takes you AWAY from Hellfire. Whatever takes you AWAY from Allah, takes you CLOSER to Hellfire. ☂We all take tomorrow for granted because we believe tomorrow will always be there. Tomorrow may be there, but we may not! ☂Who said "TOMORROW" is guaranteed? Make th

 Don't run to salah! Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying, "When the Iqamah are pronounced, do not come to it running, you should walk calmly with tranquillity to join the congregation. Then join in what you catch for and complete what you miss." [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]. In Muslim it is added: Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, *"For when one of you is walking for Salat, he is, in fact, engaged in Salat."* Riyad as-Salihin, The Book of Good Manners, Book 2, Hadith 704 | Darussalam Translations.

 

 Imaam Ibn al-Qayyim:  *“Whoever increases in worry and sadness must recite; Laa Ḥawla Walaa Quwwata Illaa Billaah.”*  [Zaad al-Ma'ād 4/183]

 

 

*How fasting the Day of ‘Arafah is an expiation of the sins for the upcoming year.* Al-Imām al-Mannāwi [may Allāh have mercy on him] said: • Allāh will safeguard His slave from sinning in the coming year if he fasts on the Day of ‘Arafah. • Allāh gives reward equal to the sins committed in the following year and this is how fasting on the Day of ‘Arafah nullifies sins. • Allāh forgives all upcoming [minor] sins in reality and the expiator precedes the expiated. Fayd al Qadeer, 4/230 | Al-Imām al-Mannāwi [may Allāh have mercy on him]

 

 Why does ‘Āshurā expiate [the sins] of a year and the Day of ‘Arafah expiates that of two years?’ Al-Imām ibn al-Qayyim [may Allāh have mercy on him] said: “There is two viewpoints: ‘The first: The Day of ‘Arafah is in a sacred month, [the month] before it is a sacred month; and [the month] after it is a sacred month, in contrast to ‘Āshurā. The second: fasting the Day of ‘Arafah is from the exclusive characteristics of our legislation, in contrast to ‘Ashurā.” Badā’i’ al-Fawāid, 4/211 | Al-Imām ibn al-Qayyim [may Allāh have mercy on him]

 “Eid is NOT for the one who WEARS new clothes. Eid is for the one whose OBEDIENCE RISES.  ✒ The Worst Women Prophet Muḥammad Ṣallallāhu-ʿAlaihi Wa Sallam said: *“The worst women of yours are those who display their beauty to strangers (Mutabarrijāt) and are Arrogant, and they are hypocrites, NONE of them will enter Jannah EXCEPT the likes of red-legged crow (a rare bird) i.e only a few.”*  [سلسلة الأحاديث الصحيحة ١٨٤٩]

 Ponder The Difference Islam put the masaajid as a place of worship, And the cemetery (grave yard) as a place for burying the deceases.  whilst the people of Innovation put the masaajid as place of burying the deceases,and put the cemetery(grave yard) as a place of worship.

 ✒ If A Part Of Paradise Was Revealed Prophet Muḥammad Ṣallallāhu-ʿAlaihi Wa Sallam said: “If as little as a fingernail of what is in Jannah were to appear (in Dunyā), it would have beautified all far corners of the heavens and the earth.”  [سلسلة الأحاديث الصحيحة ٣٣٩٦]

 May Allah bless us with this quality and true friendship. True love is the love which is for the sake of Allah Upon the authority of Imaamul Auwzaa’ee (who lived in Shaam, the area of Syria) who said: “Qataadah wrote to me from Basrah (Modern day Iraaq) saying: “Even though our lands have caused a separation between me and you, the uniting factor of Islaam brings us together” (Collected by Imaamudh Dhahabee in ‘Siyar A’laamin Nubalaa 7/121) Upon the authority of Imaamush Shaafi’ee also who said:” The sign of a (true), friend is that he is a friend to the friend of his friend” (Collected by Imaamudh Dhahabi in ‘Siyar A’laamin Nubalaa 10/99) Upon the authority of Ibnil Fudhail who said: “I went to visit Abu Ishaaq As Sabee’ee after he lost his sight. So I said: “Do you know who I am? He said: “Fudhail? So I said: “Yes!” So he said to me: “Verily, By allah I love you! and were it not for me being shy of you i would kiss you” then he pulled me to his chest (and hugged me) then said: “Al A

 The Messenger of Allāh صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ said: *“There is no day in which Allāh, the Mighty the Majestic, sets free more slaves from the Hell-Fire than [He does] on the day of ‘Arafah...”* Saheeh ibn Mājah 2458 | Shaykh al-Albāni رحمه الله | Saheeh

 The Messenger of Allāh صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ said: “The best supplication is the one made on the Day of ‘Arafah. The best supplication ever said by myself and the previous Prophets is:  لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ، وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ، وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ ‘There is no deity worthy of worship [in truth] other than Allāh, who is alone, having no partner or associate. His is the dominion, and to Him belongs all praise.  Righteous Fear vs. Sinful Delusion It is reported that Al-Hasan Al-Basrî – Allâh have mercy on him – said: *The believer does the best deeds yet is most fearful [that his deeds will not be accepted]. If he were to spend a mountain of wealth [in charity], he would not feel sure [of the reward] until he sees it. The more righteous and pious he becomes, the more he fears. But the hypocrite (munâfiq) says, ‘There are so many people, I will be forgiven, no problem.’ So he does wrong and evil deeds, yet holds foolish wishes about Allâh.* Al-Dhahabî, Siyar A’lâm Al-Nubalâ` 4:586.

 Ibn Al-Jawzi رحمه الله said: *"Understand that life has occasions. One time it is poverty, and another time it is wealth. Once it is honour, and another it is humiliation. Happy is he who remains grounded in every situation."* [صيد الخاطر ٢٨٢]

 Fuḍayl b. ‘Iyāḍ رحمه الله Said: *❝Whoever Knows Well The Sunnah, The Bid'ah Will Reveal Itself To Him!❞*  [حلية الأولياء ٨/٩٥]

 Ibn ‘Abbāss [may Allāh be pleased with him] said *“O’ Allāh make me content with [all] that you have provided me with and [shower Your] blessings therein.”* Al-Adab al-Mufrad 681 | Al-Imām al-Bukhāri [may Allāh have mercy on him]

 Shaykh al Islām Ibn Taymīyyah رحمه الله said: ❝It is better to have many sins with correct Tawhīd than to have a few sins with incorrect Tawhīd.❞ (Majmū' al Fatāwa 1/466)

 Ibn Qayyim رحم الله said *“O you who spends his lifetime in disobeying his Lord! No one amongst your enemies is wicked to you more than you are to yourself”* [Al-Fawa’id pg. 107]

 It was narrated that Anas (radhi Allahu anhu) has said : The Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said : *Whoever is mainly concerned about the Hereafter, Allah will make him feel independent of others & will make him focused & content & his worldly affairs will fall into place. But whoever is mainly concerned with this world, Allah will make him feel in constant need of others & will make him distracted & unfocused & he'll get nothing of this world except what is decreed for him."* [Tirmidhi 2389, classed as saheeh by Shaykh al-Albaani in Saheeh al Jaami 6510]

 Al-Hāfidh ibn Rajab [may Allāh have mercy on him] said: “My [beloved] brothers! If you are confined and restricted from performing Hajj this year, then return [back], strive and exercise self-restraint against the desires of your soul for its the greatest type of struggle.” Latāif al-Ma’ārif | Page 557 | Al-Imām ibn Rajab al-Hambali [may Allāh have mercy on him] * Greatest struggle: self - restraint against the desires 

 Hudhayfah [may Allāh be pleased with him] was asked: “What is the worst affliction? He replied: *‘Good and evil is presented to you and you do not know which of them to follow.’”* Hilyat ul-Awliyā 7/271 | Abi Nuaym al-Asfahāni [may Allāh have mercy on him] The worst condition : the person is not able to differentiate between good and bad deeds

 Shaykh ul-Islām ibn Taymiyyah [may Allāh have mercy on him] said:  *“The greatest pleasure in this worldly-life is knowledge of Allāh and the greatest pleasure of the Afterlife is looking upon Him [He, Allāh is free from imperfection].”* Majmū’ al-Fatāwa, 14/163 | Shaykh ul-Islām ibn Taymiyyah [may Allāh have mercy on him] Greatest Blessing and achievement in this world is knowledge.
