The Excellence of Tawheed & Istighfar Compiled & Translated By Abbas Abu Yahya Shaykh ul Islaam Ibn Taymeeyah - rahimullah- said: ‘Seeking forgiveness from Allaah is from the greatest of good deeds, it encompasses many matters, so whoever senses deficiency in his speech, or his actions, or his situation, or his provision, or his heart turning to and fro, them it is upon him to adhere to Tawheed and seeking forgiveness from Allaah, since in these two matters there is the cure, if both those matters are done with Ikhlaas (sincerity).’ [From 'Majmoo al-Fatawa 11/698] Seeking forgiveness For the Believers Allaah Ta’ala said: وَالَّذِينَ جَاءُوا مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلِإِخْوَانِنَا الَّذِينَ سَبَقُونَا بِالْإِيمَانِ وَلَا تَجْعَلْ فِي قُلُوبِنَا غِلًّا لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ رَءُوفٌ رَحِيمٌ <<And those who came after them say: Our Lord! Forgive us and our brethren who have preceded us in Faith, and put not in our hearts

Imām Ibn 'Uthaymeen Raḥimahullāh said: “The *TRUTH* is what is based upon *PROOF* (Daleel) and *NOT* what people act upon.” ● [مجموع الفتاوى ٧/٣٦٧]

1. Have you stopped using plastic completely? Have you stopped throwing plastic out of railway windows? It is this plastic which blocks the storm water drains. Imaam Bin Baaz (rahimahullah) Said: *So your brother is the who advises you, remind you, and alert you. Your brother is not the one who gives you no thought, avoids you, or speaks to you with pretty words that lack real truths and sincerity. Rather, your brother, in reality, it is the one who advises you, the one who admonishes you, and reminds you. He calls you to Allah, keeps explaining to you the path of deliverence clearly until you follow it, and warns you about the path to destruction- he keeps explaining how evil it end is until you avoid it.* [Majmu Fatwa wa Maqalat Matinee, vol 14,p.21]

Ibn al-Qayyim: (May Allāh have mercy on him) *Fear of A Bad Ending* “Sufyān al-Thawrī, may Allāh have mercy on him, once cried a whole night until the morning, so in the morning he was asked if his cry was due to the fear of sins. He picked hay from the ground and said: ‘Sins are lighter than this hay, I only cried out of fear of the bad ending.’ Ibn al-Qayyim said: And this is the peak of Fiqh (knowledge and understanding) that a man fears that his sins let him down at the time of death and that they come between him and the good ending.” al-Dāaʾ wa al-Dawāʾ (390)

The Importance of saying Allah knows best (or Allah knows better) Masruq (May Allah be pleased with him) said: We visited 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud (May Allah be pleased with him) and he said to us: O people! He who has the knowledge of any matter may convey it to the others. And he who has no knowledge, thereof, should say: اللهُ أَعْلَم "Allahu A'lam (Allah knows better)." It is a part and parcel of knowledge that a man who has no knowledge of a matter should say: "Allah knows better." Allah said to His Prophet (ﷺ): "Say (O Muhammad (ﷺ)): 'No wage do I ask of you for this (the Qur'an), nor am I one of the Mutakallifun (those who pretend and fabricate things which do not exist)."'
