Husband mistreating wife's family

Praise be to Allaah. The parents have great rights, but the husband has a greater right. It is not permissible for either party to abuse the rights of the other. If the wife thinks that her husband has wronged her parents, she should advise him and remind him that the aayah (interpretation of the meaning), “… and live with them [wives] honourably…” [al-Nisa’ 4:19] includes treating her family well too, because that makes her happy, and it includes not harming them, because that upsets her. By the same token, if one or both of her parents abuse her husband’s rights, she should advise them and remind them of the seriousness of backbiting, wrongdoing and aggression. If they order her to do something and her husband orders her to do the opposite, then her husband takes precedence, because his rights are greater in sharee’ah. This does not mean that she should forget about their rights; this is the guideline she should follow in cases where there is a conflict. With regard to your second

Reward from Allah: Spending on family

Modesty and self respect(Haya) is part of Iman( Faith)

Hadith حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ الْعَقَدِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلاَلٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ ‏ الإِيمَانُ بِضْعٌ وَسِتُّونَ شُعْبَةً، وَالْحَيَاءُ شُعْبَةٌ مِنَ الإِيمَانِ ‏" ‏‏‏ Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Faith (Belief) consists of more than sixty branches (i.e. parts). Five pillars of Islam

To testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and Muhammad is Allah's Messenger (ﷺ). 2. To offer the (compulsory congregational) prayers dutifully and perfectly. 3. To pay Zakat (i.e. obligatory charity) . 4. To perform Hajj. (i.e. Pilgrimage to Mecca) 5. To observe fast during the month of Ramadan. Sniffing nose in wudhu(ablution) and allergy and pain in nose

Question : The Prophet (ﷺ) said: إذا توضأ أحدكم فليجعل في أنفه ماءً If anyone of you makes wudu, then let him put water in his nose [Saheeh Muslim no. 237] Some people have allergies in their noses or other than it and are not capable of snuffing water into the nose. So what does [such a person] do? Answer : “It is not necessary to snuff water. That is: if he takes water in his hand until he enters it to the nostrils, that suffices. The water reaching the top of the nose is not an obligation and I do not think, inshallah, that there is any harm in it” [Liqaa al-Bab al-Maftooh no. 215] Translated by Faisal bin Abdul Qaadir bin Hassan Abu Sulaymaan

Dua during Wudhu(Ablution)

Praise be to Allah. There is no proof that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said any du’a during wudu whilst washing or wiping his limbs, etc. Any such du’as that are known are bid’ah (innovation) and have no basis. What is known from Islamic sources is that one should say Bismillah at the beginning, and after finishing one should recite the Shahadatayn (testimony of faith) and say, “Allahumma aj’alni min al-tawwabeen waj’alni min al-mutatahhireen (O Allah, make me one of those who repent and make me one of those who purify themselves).” And Allah knows best. Ref: Islamqa

Method and procedure of wudhu(Ablution)

Praise be to Allaah. The correct procedure for wudoo’ is: a person should pour water from the vessel onto his hands three times, then put his right hand into the vessel and rinse his mouth and nose three times, then wash his face three times, then wash his arm up to the elbow three times, then wipe his head and ears once, then wash his feet up to the ankles three times. If he washes everything twice, or once, this is sufficient. Then after doing wudoo’ he should say: “Ashhadu an laa ilaaha illa-Allaah wahdahu laa shareeka lah, wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan ‘abduhu wa rasooluh. Allaahumma-j’alni min al-tawwaabeen waj’alni min al-mutatahhireen (I bear witness that there is no god but Allaah Alone, with no partner or associate, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. O Allaah, make me one of those who repent and make me one of those who are purify themselves).” Fataawa al-Lajnah al-Daa’imah, 5/231. Before doing wudoo’, one should say Bismillah, because of the hadeet

Reward of dhikr(zikr) after Fard salah and before sleeping is paradise(Jannah)

Praise be to Allaah The dhikr after salaah referred to in the question has been reported in a hadeeth reported by Abu Hurayrah from the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): “Whoever glorifies Allaah (says Subhaan Allaah) thirty-three times immediately after each prayer, and praises Allaah (says Al-hamdu Lillaah) thirty-three times, and magnifies Allaah (says Allaahu akbar) thirty-three times, this makes ninety-nine, then to complete one hundred says Laa ilaaha ill-Allaah wahdahu laa shareeka lahu, lahu’l-mulk wa lahu’l-hamd wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadeer (There is no god except Allaah Alone, with no partner, His is the power and His is the praise, and He is Able to do all things) – his sins will be forgiven even if they are like the foam of the sea.” (Reported by Muslim, 939). A number of different descriptions of the dhikr after salaah have been narrated, an example of which has been referred to in the question. The evidence for this is the hadeeth of

Repentance of one who committed Oral Sex

Limited Time Offer:  50% Off on Robot Vacuum Cleaner Praise be to Allaah. There is no doubt that what you have done is a kind of zinaa (unlawful sexual activity), although it is not the worst kind, so you must repent sincerely to Allaah, give up this sin, regret what has happened and be determined never to go back to it. Avoid bad friends and bad places, lower your gaze and keep your distance from women to whom you are not related (non-mahram). If you repent to Allaah, He will accept your repentance. You are still a Muslim, but you have committed an act of disobedience towards Allaah by doing this sinful act, so come back to your Lord and seek His forgiveness for what you have done. Do more good deeds to expiate for and cancel out your bad deeds, do those things that will help you to remain chaste, and hasten to marry according to Islam. Finally, we will leave you with a story from which you may learn a valuable lesson: Ibn Mas’ood reported that a man came to the Prophet (peace and

Punishment of not paying zakaah

Praise be to Allaah. Zakaah is one of the pillars of Islam. If a person does not do it because he does not believe that it is obligatory, the ruling should be explained to him and if he persists, then he is a kaafir, and the funeral prayer cannot be offered for him and he cannot be buried in the Muslim graveyard. But if he does not pay zakaah because he is stingy, but he believes that it is obligatory, then he is a sinner who is guilty of a major sin and he is a wrong doer, but he is not a kaafir. Therefore he should be washed (ghusl) and the funeral prayer should be offered for him if he dies in this state, and his case will be decided on the Day of Resurrection. Mahdi(peace be upon him) will come...

Praise be to Allaah. There are saheeh ahaadeeth that indicate that the Mahdi (peace be upon him) will appear at the end of time. He is one of the signs of the Hour. Among these ahaadeeth are the following: 1. Abu Sa’eed al-Khudri reported that the Messenger of Allaah (Peace & Blessings of Allaah be upon Him) said: "At the end of the time of my ummah, the Mahdi will appear. Allaah will grant him rain, the earth will bring forth its fruits, he will give a lot of money, cattle will increase and the ummah will become great. He will rule for seven or eight years. (Mustadrak al-Haakim, 4/557-558; he said: this is a hadeeth whose isnaad is saheeh, although it was not reported by al-Bukhaari and Muslim. Al-Dhahabi agreed with him, and al-Albaani said: this is a saheeh sanad, and its men are thiqaat (trustworthy), Silsilat al-ahaadeeth al-saheehah, vol. 2, p. 336, hadeeth 771) 2. ‘Ali (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: "The Messenger of Allaah (Peace & Blessings of Allaa

Conditions for acceptance of Dua and Supplication

Dead Hearts and Empty Supplications It is reported that Ibrâhîm b. Adham (d162H) – Allâh have mercy on him – once passed through the market of Basrah. People gathered around him and asked: O Abû Ishâq, Allâh the Exalted says in his Book. ‘Call on me, I will answer your prayers’, but we have been calling on Him for a long time and He does not answer our prayers. [Ibrâhîm] replied, “O people of Basrah, your hearts have died in respect to ten things: First, you know Allâh but you do not give Him His rights; second, you have read Allâh’s Book but you do not act by it; third, you claim to love Allâh’s Messenger – Allâh’s peace and blessings be upon him – yet you abandon his Sunnah; fourth, you claim to be enemies to Shaytân but you conform to [his ways]; fifth, you say you love Paradise yet you do not work for it; sixth, you say you fear The Fire yet you put yourselves closer to it [by sinning]; seventh, you say death is true but you do not prepare for it; eighth, you busy yo

Beware of immoral women.

DO NOT BE DECEIVED BY THE PHYSICAL APPEARANCES OF THE IMMORAL WOMEN OF THIS WORLDLY LIFE! After Imaam Ibnul Qayyim (rahimahullaah) described the beauty and perfection of the women of Paradise so that one is drawn towards them, he warned against being deceived by the evil women of this worldly life—those who are deprived of every excellent trait.   They are neither perfect in their physical appearances nor do they possess good actions.   How can one be deceived by a woman who possesses ugly manners and is untrustworthy! How can one be deceived by a woman who neither fulfills her obligations nor does she possess patience! How can one be deceived by a woman who is neither contented nor is she obedient and humble, and her deeds are ugly!  Rather she is a female shaytaan disguised in the image of a human, so she deceives the despicable and depraved people who desire her because they are similar to her and are ready to obey her. As for the people of goodness and virtue, she neither wants

Way to good end

Praise be to Allaah.   Firstly: a good end…  A good end means when a person was guided before his death to keep away from that which angers the Lord and to repent from sin, and to focus on doing acts of worship and good deeds, and then he died in this good state. One of the indications of this is the saheeh hadeeth narrated from Anas ibn Maalik (may Allaah be pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “When Allaah wills good for His slave, He uses him.” They said, “How does He use him?” He said, “He guides him to do good deeds before he dies.” Narrated by Imam Ahmad, 11625; al-Tirmidhi, 2142; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in al-Silsilah al-Saheehah, 1334.  The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “When Allaah wills good for His slave, He sweetens him.” He was asked, “What is this sweetening?” He said, “Allaah guides him to do righteous deeds before he dies, then He takes (his soul) whilst h

Islamic quotes and Islamic sayings

Praise be to Allaah. There follows a list of some wise sayings and general rules, taken from the Qur’aan, Sunnah and words of Muslim wise men. And whenever you give your word, say the truth [al-An’aam 6:152] And seek help in patience and prayer [al-Baqarah 2:45] And speak good to people [al-Baqarah 2:83] And fulfil the Covenant of Allaah when you have covenanted [al-Nahl 16:91] Verily! Allaah commands that you should render back the trusts to those to whom they are due [al-Nisa’ 4:58] And let not your hand be tied (like a miser) to your neck, nor stretch it forth to its utmost reach (like a spendthrift) [al-Isra’ 17:29] Eat and drink, but waste not by extravagance [al-A’raaf 7:31] And take a provision (with you) for the journey, but the best provision is al-taqwa (piety, righteousness) [al-Baqarah 2:197] And whosoever fears Allaah and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty) [al-Talaaq 65:2] And whosoever puts his trust in Allaah,

Mother expectation from her child

Parents expectation from their child? __________ Mother: I fought with death when I was giving birth to you. I spent sleepless nights when you were sick and crying. I never ate without feeding you first. I bore so many pains to bring you to the stage that you are in today. How will you repay me my child? Child: When I grow up, I will find a good job and earn lots of money for you so you can enjoy the pleasures of this world. Mother: Your father is doing this already and I do not expect this from you too. By the time you are earning I will be old and will not be in need of any worldly luxuries. Son: I will find a pious lady and marry her so she can cook for you and take care of you. Mother: That is not her duty my son and neither should you marry for that reason. It is not compulsory on her to do any service to me, neither do I expect this from her. Your marriage should be for you, a companion and a comfort for you as you go through this journey of life. Child: Tell me moth

One-on- one conversation with our lord

*Nothing in life can be achieved without having a one-on-one conversation with our Lord. You might want to get rid of worldly pressures; maybe you want a righteous spouse; perhaps you want to be blessed with a child or acquire the dream job; or your mind just yearns for contentment and peace. Allah is the Maker, the Sustainer, the One who loves to Forgive and the One who loves to provide for His slaves. All you have to do ask Him! Whatever be your demand, focus whilst praying, focus when you make dua instead of putting your dua list on auto pilot mode; talk to Him when you’re given five official chances to do so everyday. What better time than salah!*

Zakaat on invested money

Praise be to Allaah. If one year has passed since you have possessed this wealth, you should pay zakaat on it, whether it is on hand or is invested in trade. Can we use perfume containing alcohol?

Praise be to Allaah. We need to talk at length about the issue of perfumes that are said to contain cologne or alcohol. If the percentage of alcohol is very little, we say that it does not matter, and a person may use them without any concern, such as if the alcohol content is 5% or less. This does not matter. If the percentage of alcohol is very high, so that you can detect it, then it is better not to use it except where it is necessary, such as for sterilizing wounds and the like. In cases where it is not necessary, it is better not to use it, but we do not say that it is haram. The most we can say is that this high alcohol content is an intoxicant, and no doubt consuming intoxicants is haram according to the texts of Islam and the consensus of the scholars, but is using it in ways other than drinking it permissible? This is open to speculation, but to be on the safe side we should not use it. If you say that it is open to speculation because Allaah says (interpretation of the mean

Raising children

Praise be to Allaah.   Raising and educating children is one of the duties required of parents. Allaah has enjoined that in the Qur’aan, and the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) also enjoined that. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):  “O you who believe! Ward off yourselves and your families against a Fire (Hell) whose fuel is men and stones, over which are (appointed) angels stern (and) severe, who disobey not, (from executing) the Commands they receive from Allaah, but do that which they are commanded” [al-Tahreem 66:6]  Imam al-Tabari said, commenting on this verse:  Here Allaah is saying: O you who believe in Allaah and His Messenger, “Ward off yourselves” teach one another that which will protect those who do it from the Fire and ward it off from them, if it is done in obedience to Allaah and they do it in obedience to Allaah. The phrase “and your families against a Fire” means, and teach your families to do acts of obedience to Allaah so that they

Child is stealing money and things

Praise be to Allaah. A young child may steal for a number of reasons: He steals because he does not know the difference between borrowing and stealing, and the concept of personal ownership is not clear in his mind. Some children steal because they are deprived of things that others have. Some steal to take revenge on the parents or to attract their attention. What do we advise? Keep calm. Instead of rebuking him and putting him to shame, keep calm. This situation is an opportunity to teach your child. Advise and exhort the child. Explain to him the Islamic rulings concerning stealing, and tell him that Allaah says in His Book (interpretation of the meaning): “Cut off (from the wrist joint) the (right) hand of the thief, male or female…” [al-Maa’idah 5:38] The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) accepted the pledge of women, when they made bay’ah (oath of allegiance) to him, that they would not steal, as Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “… that they will

Dealing with cheating husband

Praise be to Allah. 1. What the man is doing of having a haraam (an unlawful) relationship with a woman who is not his mahram is a betrayal of the rights of Allah before it is a betrayal of the rights of his wife. The Muslim is bound by a covenant with his Lord, may He be exalted, and what he is required to do is to fulfil that covenant and not break it. Moreover, this is not what the individual is enjoined to do in response to the blessings that his Lord has bestowed upon him. Allah, may He be glorified, has blessed him with good health, well-being and a wife and children, either now or soon, in sha Allah. The way to show gratitude for these blessings is not to waste this good health and well-being in haraam relationships with non-mahram women, and the way to show gratitude for the blessing of the wife and children is not by neglecting them and breaking ties with them. Allah, may He be exalted, has promised to those who give thanks increased blessings and He warns those who are ungrat

Fear of marriage

Praise be to Allaah. You may be certain that we understand your problem and feel your pain, and that any Muslim in this world is our brother and what befalls him affects us too. We feel his joy if he rejoices and we feel his sorrow if he grieves. We will try to offer you a solution because we share your pain, so that you may be rid of this problem quickly, in sha Allaah.  You should realize that you are not the only one in this world who has problems and suffers worries, anxiety and depression. Right now you are facing a test from Allaah, and this test requires you to do some things so that you may learn from it and emerge from this calamity with many great benefits. These things include the following:  1 – Think positively of Allaah, for He has only decreed this thing for you for a reason that is known to Him. He wants good for you so long as you adhere to His commands and guidance, and obey His commands and avoid overstepping His limits and falling into that which He has forbidden
