The words of Allah, may He be exalted (interpretation of the meaning): “And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me I do not want from them any provision, nor do I want them to feed Me Indeed, it is Allah who is the [continual] Provider, the firm possessor of strength” [adh-Dhaariyaat 51:56-58] . Allah, may He be exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning): “And there is no creature on earth but that [incumbent] upon Allah is its provision, and He knows its place of dwelling and place of storage. All is in a clear register” [Hood 11:6] . At-Tabari (may Allah have mercy on him) said: “ but that [incumbent] upon Allah is its provision ” that is, its provision that reaches it comes from Allah, and He guarantees it.
