Beneficial Knowledge

 The Famous Fake It is reported that Ibrāhīm b. Adham – Allāh have mercy on him – said: *❝A person has not been true to Allāh, the mighty and sublime, if he loves recognition (fame).❞* Aḥmad b. Ḥanbal, Al-Zuhd article 2240.

 The Scholar, the Ignorant, the Heedless and the Fool It is reported that Al-Khalīl b. Aḥmad said:  Men are of four types: There is the man who knows and he knows that he knows. He is knowledgeable, so follow him and ask him. And there is the man who does not know, and he knows that he does not know. He is ignorant, so teach him. And there is the man who knows, but he does not know that he knows. He is heedless, so remind him. And then there is the man who does not know, but he does not know that he does not know (he thinks he knows). *This is the fool (idiot), so beware of him.* Ibn ˁAbd Al-Barr, Jāmiˁ Bayān Al-ˁilm wa Faḍlihī article 1538.

 *The Place of the Heart and the Tongue* It is reported that Al-Ḥasan Al-Baṣrī – Allāh have mercy on him – said: The intelligent person’s tongue is behind his heart: when he wants to speak, he first thinks. If [his words] will be in his favor, he says them, and if they will be against him, he does not speak. *And the ignorant person’s heart is behind his tongue: when he merely thinks of saying something, he says it, whether it is for or against him.* Abū Bakr Al-Daynūrī, Al-Mujālasah wa Jawāhir Al-‘Ilm article 2049.  *Changing Colours* It is reported that Ḥudhayfah b. Al-Yamān – Allāh be pleased with him – said: True misguidance is that you approve now what you used to repudiate before (because it was wrong) and repudiate now what you used to approve before; and be aware of changing colours in the religion, for the religion of Allāh is one. Ibn Baṭṭah, Al-Ibānatu Al-Kubrā ḥadīth 25, and others.

 🤲 The time of acceptance of a Duaa differs from person to person, and depends upon the situation. 1️⃣ When Khawlah bint Thalabah رضي الله عنها came to Prophet ﷺ complaining that her husband has pronounced "Dhihaar" on her (i.e. suspending her, neither divorcing her nor treating her as a wife). The moment she said: O Allaah, I complain to you, soon after, Jibreel عليه السلام brought down the Aayaat of Surah al-Mujaadalah (58). 📚 [Saheeh al-Bukhaaree and Musnad Ahmad] 2️⃣ When the seventy reciters from the Companions were killed near the Maoonah well, the Prophet ﷺ prayed against the perpetrators for ONE WHOLE MONTH.  📚 [Saheehain] 3️⃣ When Umm al-Mu'mineen, Aaishah رضي الله عنها was falsely accused, she waited for a WHOLE MONTH before Allaah تعالى revealed Aayaat freeing her from the blame.  📚 [Saheehain] 4️⃣ The three - Kab Ibn Maalik, Hilaal Ibn Umayyah, and Muraarah bin al-Rabee - who stayed behind and did not join the Prophet ﷺ in the Tabook expedition, they were

 Al-Hasan al-Basri [may Allāh have mercy on him] said: “The foundation of evil lies in three: ➊ Envy. ➋ Covetousness. ➌ Loving the ephemeral and lowly aspects of the worldly-Life. And its subsidiary branches are six: ➊ Love of excess sleep. ➋ Love of over filling oneself with food. ➌ Love of being too relaxed. ➍ Love of leadership. ➎ Love of being praised. ➏ Love of boasting [being haughty].” Kitāb al-‘Iqd ul-Fareed, 2/151 | Ibn ‘Abd Rabbih al-Abdalūsi [may Allāh have mercy on him]

 Four bad habits and acts which reduce and decrease income, profit, wealth, property Note: As far as a person’s sleeping after praying Fajr is concerned, no text (of Qur’aan or hadeeth) has been reported to indicate that this is prohibited, so the general principle applies (i.e., everything is permitted except that which has been expressly forbidden). But the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and his Companions after praying Fajr was to remain sitting in the place where they had prayed until the sun rose, as is reported in Saheeh Muslim (1/463) in the hadeeth of Sammaak ibn Harb, who said: “I asked Jaabir ibn Samurah, ‘Did you used to sit with the Messenger of Allaah?’ He said, ‘Yes, frequently. He would not get up from the place where he had prayed Subh until the sun rose. When the sun rose, he would get up. They used to talk about things that had happened during the Jaahiliyyah, and they would laugh and smile.’” Also, the Prophet (peace and blessings

 Al-Fudayl Bin Ayaad said: *❝I swear by Allaah it is not permissible for you to unnecessarily harm a dog or a pig, so how can you harm a person?!❞* [Seera A’alam An-Nubala, (8/327)]

 Stay Away From 3 Types of People.  It is reported that ʿAlī b. ʾAbī Ṭālib – Allāh be pleased with him – said:  1)Do not be with the sinner (fājir), for he will beautify to you the things he does, and he will want you to be like him; and he will beautify to you the worst of his practices; and his entrance upon you and leaving from your company will cause ignominy and discredit [of you]. 2)And do not accompany the fool (aḥmaq), for he will exhaust himself [to help you] but will not benefit you, and he may want to benefit you but end up harming you; his silence is better than his speaking, his distance is better than his closeness. 3)And do not accompany the liar, for life will not benefit you with him, he will tell others what you say, and tell you what others say; and if you speak the truth, it will not be believed. Abū Bakr Al-Daynūrī, Al-Mujālasah wa Jawāhir AlʿIlm no. 1379.

  Shaykh ul-Islām ibn Taymiyyah [may Allāh have mercy on him] said:  “There is not a single āyah in the Book of Allāh which extols anyone due to their lineage. Nor [is there an āyah] which vilifies anyone.  Certainly, a person is extolled due to his [level of] faith, fear and pleasure [of Allāh] and he who is dispraised, is censured and criticised for his disbelief, outward display of immorality and disobedience [to Allāh].” Majmū’ al-Fatāwa, 35/230 | Shaykh ul-Islām ibn Taymiyyah [may Allāh have mercy on him] “...Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Jabir bin Abdullah says: I heard the Messenger of Allah (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam) saying this: The difference between a man  and shirk and kufr is the abandoning of salaah.  How to show gratefulness to Allah and parents?   Hence, we should offer our Salah with sincerity, humility with full attention and concentration to earn maximum reward.  Life is not only for eating and sleeping “I have not created men except that they should serve Me” (Quran, 51:56).  “And to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and Allah is over all things competent. Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day are signs for those of understanding.   Fudayl Ibn ‘Iyaad (d. 187) said: “Whoever marries his beloved daughter to an innovator has cut off the ties of relationship with her.” [Al-Barbahaaree, An Explanation of the Creed, 137] The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) told us that: “Every innovation is going astray, and every going astray will be in the Fire.” Narrated by Muslim (867) and an-Nasaa’i (1578) Share it: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Whoever guides someone to goodness will have a reward like one who did it.” ( Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim) The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Convey (my teachings) to the people even if it were a single verse."  ( Saheeh Bukhari) The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "By Allah, that Allah guides a man through you is better for you than a herd of expensive red camels."  Al-Fadl Ibn Muhammad Ash-Sha’raanee said: “I never saw ‘Abdullaah Ibn Saalih (137-223H) except that he was narrating ahaadeeth or saying tasbeeh.” [Siyaar A’laamun Nubulaa, Vol. 10, Pp. 405-416] Time is precious and words are precious. We should not waste it. Every useful word and second will give us great rewards, in shaa Allah We should do useful and productive work in available time. Allah Says: " And do not invoke with Allah ﷲ another deity. There is no deity except Him﴾ﷲ﴿. Everything will be destroyed except Allah ﷲ.   Al-Hasan Al-Basree said: “To endure short-lived difficulties that are followed by long lasting ease, is better than hurrying for a short-lived ease that is followed by ever-lasting hardship.” [Al-Hilyah, 2/134] Temporary pain, trouble, problem, stress, tension, trial, sadness and grief is better than permanent punishment, trouble, sadness and grief Permanent joy, comfort and luxury is better than temporary joy, pleasure, luxury and comfort The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Whoever guides someone to goodness will have a reward like one who did it.” ( Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim) The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Convey (my teachings) to the people even if it were a single verse"  ( Saheeh Bukhari) The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "By Allah, that Allah guides a man through you is better for you than a herd of expensive red camels" (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī) The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "When the human being dies, his deeds end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays

  ‘Umar Ibn Al-Khattaab said: “Whoever decorates himself by displaying to the people some characteristics that Allaah knows are contrary to his real characteristics, will be disgraced and dishonoured by Allaah.” [Ad-Daaraqutnee, 4/207] Don't fake character, otherwise it will lead to disgrace and dishonour Don't be hypocrite and double faced, be genuine and real. Allah will surely reveal true face of people.   Imaam Ash-Shaafi’e said: “Stick to the people of hadeeth, since they are the most correct from amongst the people.” [Siyar A’laamin Nubulaa’, 10/60] People of Hadith are on Straight path.  Sufyān ibn ‘Uyaynah [may Allāh have mercy on him] would say: “The Believer is in need of patience just as he is in need of food and drink.” As-Sabr | Page 84 | Al-Imām ibn Abi Dunyah [may Allāh have mercy on him] The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Whoever guides someone to goodness will have a reward like one who did it.” ( Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim) The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Convey (my teachings) to the people even if it were a single verse."  ( Saheeh Bukhari) The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "By Allah, that Allah guides a man through you is better for you than a herd of expensive red camels."  One of the Salaf asked his student: What do you do when the devil whispers to you?' He replied: 'I fight him back.  'The teacher asked: 'What if he returns?' He replied: 'I fight him.  'The teacher asked again: 'What if he returns? ' The student repeated again: 'I fight him.'  The teacher said: 'This will take too long.  Do you see if you try to pass by some sheep and the shepherd's dog barks at you to prevent you from passing, what would you do?'  He replied: 'I would struggle to fight and repel him.  'The teacher replied: This would take too long.  Shaykh ibn ‘Uthaymeen [may Allāh have mercy on him] said: “The intellectual person is the one who recites the Qur’ān and contemplates over it. He becomes aware of the value of the worldly-life and that it is of no value [i.e. worthless] and it is a place of cultivation [to perform good deeds and actions], for the Afterlife.
