Dua for dead parents

Islamic Prayer for Dead Parents

DUA for DECEASED PARENTS

When a parent passes away remember that you have begun a new phase of birr (dutifulness) to that parent.

Birr after death is the truest and most sincere forms of birr because birr during their lifetime could be tainted with show-off, being polite (as opposed to sincere) and expecting praise from the parents or others. As for after their death, then only Allah hears and sees you.

A deceased parent is in greater need of his/her children - even more than when they the parent was alive. What children do for the parents during the parent's lifetime is for the worldly needs.

But after death only Allah knows what good and bad is in store for the deceased in the grave

Du'a - i.e., supplication to Allah - for rahmah (mercy), asking Allah to shower the deceased with His mercy is invaluable for the deceased.

Through the child's Du'a, Allah - with His grace and mercy - enlightens the grave removing the darkness and expanding the grave thus removing the suffering. And Allah makes the grave a garden from the gardens of Paradise for the deceased.

Therefore, always remember your deceased parent/s, and always ask Allah to shower them with His mercy, enlighten their grave and expand it.

For example, as you about have a meal think about the many wonderful meals your mother had prepared for you and how she looked after you all your life. Your heart will surely soften and at that point, let it drive you to offer a similar meal to an orphan, widow, divorced, or needy person on behalf of your deceased parent, begging of Allah to reward them for it. Give charity on their behalf, recalling the many favours they did for you.

Never forget your parents. No matter how harsh they may have been with you, only Allah knows the love they had in their hearts for you.

Remember them in your Du'a during sujood - the prostration - between the adhaan - the call for prayer - and the iqamah - the in-masjid call for prayer just a minute before congregational prayer, and in every act of worship and at all times.

Give charity on their behalf privately, wipe away the tears of orphans, widows, and divorced (through charity) on behalf of your parents, and quench the thirst of the thirsty on their behalf (by having a well dug, for example).

Go out of your way to be the best child to your parents for they have sacrificed much to raise you.

This is the Du'a for parents:

*رَّبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا*
*Rabb-ir-ham-huma kama rabbayaani sagheera* {Quran surah 17, verse 24}

Translation :
'My Lord .. Bestow thy mercy on my parent/s as they cherished and raised me in my childhood"

Ibrahim 14:41

Our Lord, forgive me and my parents and the believers the Day the account is established."

Lastly, let us teach our children about this Du'a for one day we all shall need it.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Whoever guides someone to goodness will have a reward like one who did it.”

( Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim)

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Convey (my teachings) to the people even if it were a single verse."

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "By Allah, that Allah guides a man through you is better for you than a herd of expensive red camels."

(Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī)

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "When the human being dies, his deeds end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for him."

How to achieve and gain love of Allah?

Ibnul Qayyim رحمه الله said:

"The reason which cause the mahabbah (love of Allah) to develop are ten:

Firstly: Reciting the Qur`aan, reflecting upon it and understanding its meanings.

Secondly: Drawing closer to Allah  through the performance of optional deeds, after fulfilling the obligatory deeds.

Thirdly: Being continuous in the dhikr (remembrance) of Allah - in all circumstances - with the tongue, the heart and the limbs. The more constant the dhikr, the more mahabbah intensifies.

Fourthly: Giving precedence to what Allah  loves - when being overcome with desires - over what one personally loves and desires.

Fifthly: Causing the heart to contemplate over the Names and Attributes of Allah . Being a witness to what they necessitate and causing the heart to be enlightened in the garden of this realisation.

Sixthly: Witnessing the blessing and the favours of Allah ; the apparent and the hidden.

Seventhly: Subduing the heart and humbling it before Allah , causing it to be in awe of Him.

Eighthly: Being in seclusion during the time in which Allah  descends to the lowest Heaven; reciting the Qur`aan, and finishing this recitation with seeking Allah 's forgiveness and sincerely repenting to Him.

Ninthly: Sitting in the gatherings of the sincere and true lovers of Allah ; reaping the benefits of their teachings, and not speaking except when you know there is benefit in doing so and that such speech will increase you in good and benefit others as well.

Tenthly: Keeping clear from all those matters which will cause the heart to distance itself from Allah  - the Mighty and Majestic.

So these are ten matters which cause the lover to reach the station of true love for Allaah, so that he may then reach Allah - his Beloved."

Reward and benefits of calling people to goodness, righteousness, piety, salah, charity and obedience to Allah

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:
He who called (people) to righteousness, there would be reward (assured) for him like the rewards of those who adhered to it, without their rewards being diminished in any respect. And he who called (people) to error, he shall have to carry (the burden) of its sin, like those who committed it, without their sins being diminished in any respect.

The benefits and advantage of Hardship, problems, stress, calamity and grief

*HARDSHIPS BENEFIT THE BELIEVER*

Allah عزوجل has decreed that, in this life, hardships and disasters strike both believers and non-believers. For a non-believer, they are inconveniences that hinder him from proceeding with his normal involvment in the wordly life. For a believer, on the other hand, they are instances of rest and rememberance, tests that promise great rewards, and indications of atonment and expiation of sins.

Regardless of how little is the harm that strikes a believer, it carries with it good news of forgivness and elevated rank ( in Jannah ). The Righteous Predecessors used to be pleased when a hardship afflicted them, seeing it as a token of Allah's forgivness and benevolence.

*EXPIATION OF SINS*

The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

" Hardships continue to befall a believing man and woman in their body, family, and property, until they meet Allah سبحانه وتعالى burdened with no sins. "

The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

SIGN OF EEMAN

Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه and Ka'b Bin Maalik رضي الله عنه reported that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

" The parable of a believer is that of a fresh and moist plant; the wind tilts it this way and that way; and so is the believer; he continues to be subject to affliction. And the parable of a hypocrite is that of a firm cedar tree; it does not shake - until it is uprooted all at once."

Consequences of person who does sins and he is arrogant

*Arrogant and Increase In Sinning After Being Told to Fear Allaah- [An Evil Trait!]*

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy.

Allaah [The Most High] said:

And of mankind there is he whose speech may please you (O Muhammad), in this worldly life, and he calls Allah to witness as to that which is in his heart, yet he is the most quarrelsome of the opponents. And when he turns away, his effort in the land is to make mischief therein and to destroy the crops and the cattle, and Allah likes not mischief. And when it is said to him, *“Fear Allah”, he is led by arrogance to (more) crime. So enough for him is Hell, and worst indeed is that place to rest!* [Surah Al-Baqarah. Aayaat 204-206]

Shaikh Uthaymeen [rahimahullaah] said: This is the state of many a person that when it is said to him, “Fear Allaah”, he is led by arrogance and then says, ‘’Am I a disobedient person; am I a criminal?! [Rather], you fear Allaah’’. But there is one who when it is said to him, “Fear Allaah”, he is shaken and what he holds in his hand drops out of fear of Allaah [The Mighty and Majestic]. *This person is from the people of piety and those who are truly acquainted with reality of affairs; but as for the second person, he is one led by arrogance, and Allaah’s Refuge is sought. He is led by arrogance to [more] sin and then would say, ‘’I have not done anything!” “What have I done to the extent that you tell me to fear Allaah?!”*

[Therefore], we say to this person [i.e. the arrogant one], “You are not more fearful of Allaah than the Messenger of Allaah [sallal laahu alayhi wasallam] and indeed Allaah said to him in the beginning of [Surah Al-Ahzaab] :[يَـٰٓأَيُّہَا ٱلنَّبِىُّ ٱتَّقِ ٱللَّهَ   – O Prophet! Fear Allaah]; and in the final section of the Surah, Allaah said: [يَـٰٓأَيُّہَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَقُولُواْ قَوۡلاً۬ سَدِيدً۬ا – O you who believe! Keep your duty to Allah and fear Him, and speak (always) the truth]. This includes everyone, even the Prophet [alayhis salaatu wassalaam].  [An Excerpt from At-taleeq Alaa As-Siyaasah Ash-Shar’iyyah. Best Spending ...Best Charity...Best Donation

Allah’s Messenger said: “There are four dinārs: a dinār that you give to a needy person, a dinār that you give to free a slave, a dinār that you spend in the way of Allah and a dinār you spend on your family. The best of these is the one you spent on your family.” (Muslim 39)

Do and Don't for student of knowledge

Seeking Knowledge – What you Should Know

Important advice for those who may undertake the role of the student of knowledge – those who want to leave behind their homeland, perhaps family, jobs, homes, college studies, or important positions in their communities. [1]

In the Name of Allaah, the Most-Merciful, may His Salaah and Salaam be upon His final Messenger Muhammad, to proceed:

Verily from the most rewarding ventures a person can undertake is to pursue knowledge of Allaah’s Deen. The ones who are favored with understanding of the Religion, not only does Allaah want good for them, as the Prophet of Allaah (sallallaahu ‘alayhe wa sallam) said:

“If Allaah wants good for someone, He gives him understanding
in the Religion.” [2]

But he inherits directly from the noble prophets of Allaah, as the Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhe wa sallam) said:

“Verily the prophets do not leave behind deenaars or dirhams (money), rather they leave behind knowledge, so whoever gets hold of it, attains a great amount of good.”[3]

And he becomes like the full moon compared to the rest of the stars, as the Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhe wa sallam) said:

“The example of the scholar compared to the worshipper is like the difference between the full moon and the rest of the heavenly bodies.” [4]

And he lives his life with the true fear of Allaah that He deserves, as Allaah says [5]:

( Verily the ones who (truly) fear Allaah from among His Servants are the scholars )

Upon hearing this verse, the Muslim who wants to fear his Lord and earn His Pleasure says to himself, “I want to be a scholar!”

The Intention of the Student of Knowledge

On the authority of ‘Umar, may Allaah be pleased with him, he heard the Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhe wa sallam) saying:

“Verily actions are only by their intentions, and every person shall have only what he intended.” [6]

The student of knowledge must intend to seek knowledge for Allaah’s Face, fearing His Punishment and seeking His Reward only. For if he seeks knowledge to become famous or to take a position leading the people, or to have the people speak well of him, then his intention is corrupted, his foundation is faulty, and his seemingly righteous actions will only be a source of agony in the Hereafter, even if it was partially for Allaah’s sake. Allaah says, in a hadeeth qudsee:

“I am free of needing an associate! Whoever does a deed (intending it) for Me along with someone else, I have abandoned him and his shirk.” [7]

And indeed the Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhe wa sallam) was very worried about members of his nation showing off, as he said:

“Verily what I fear most for you is minor shirk.”

The companions replied, “O Messenger of Allaah, what is minor shirk?”

He (sallallaahu ‘alayhe wa sallam) answered:

Ar-Riyaa’ (showing off), for verily Allaah, Blessed and Exalted, will say on the Day He rewards His Servants for their actions, ‘Go to those in the Dunyaa you used to show off for! See if you find any reward with them!’” [8]

This danger is present in all our deeds, so we can never put our guard down against a corrupt intention. We must take the time to inspect our heart, and re-inspect it time after time, especially when it comes to an affair as tremendous as seeking knowledge. For verily the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu ‘alayhe wa sallam) knew about the dangers that the student of knowledge would encounter and warned us accordingly:

“Do not seek knowledge to compete with the scholars, nor to argue with the foolish people, nor to gain control of gatherings; for whoever does that – the Fire, the Fire!”[9]

So know, with certainty, the one who does not purify his intention, even if he seeks knowledge for 50 years and dies without getting the fame he intended, his place is the Fire! And all the hard work he did in his life will be a source of agony for him in the Hellfire! So take heed of this warning now and correct your intention in seeking this knowledge.

The student of knowledge should intend to:

Worship Allaah by seeking knowledge of His Deen, seeking His Pleasure alone.

Rid himself and others of ignorance, implementing what he learns without delay at every stage.

Command all those around him (his family, neighbors, fellow students, etc.) to perform the obligations in Islaam that he learns about, as he does them himself.

Recommend all those around him to practice the recommended deeds in Islaam that he learns about, as he does them himself.

Discourage those around him from doing the disliked deeds in Islaam that he learns about, as he avoids them himself.

Forbid those around him from doing the prohibited deeds in Islaam that he learns about, as he avoids them himself.

Be patient with the harms that reach him because of this work.

If these things are found in the heart of the seeker of knowledge, then every step along his path will be a source of happiness for him on the Day of Judgment. If he becomes famous and the people gather around him, asking him to lead and teach them, then his intention will be what separates him on the Day of Judgement from the one who sought these things with a corrupt intention.

The Reality of Being a Student of Knowledge

Many people hear about the virtues of the student of knowledge and want to drop what they are doing to become one. However, it must be known, that not everyone is fit to be a student of knowledge. Whoever intends to take this path, before leaving his home, work, and family, let him think about the lifestyle that awaits him.

Here are some questions you can ask yourself:

Do you know that you will be studying every day for at least six hours? Even the lightest study schedules, like those found in the Islamic universities, demand at least six hours a day of reading. More serious and active students would consider six hours a day to be quite a weak and empty schedule. But let us think about the easiest schedule – six hours a day. Are you studying at home at least six hours a day consistently? If not, why do you want to leave your country to do it somewhere else?

Start with the Qur’aan and whatever books you have about Islaam, and study them for at least six hours a day, for an entire month straight.  Is this a schedule you want to live by? Can you keep this up for years?

What about your lifestyle? Are you doing things that you know you should have stopped a long time ago? Are there luxuries that you indulge in that you could not do without? Many students left their homelands and journeyed far only to find their addictions to television, movie theatres, music, and other things calling them back. Surely, you must wean yourself from the things that you know are wrong now, migrating from what Allaah prohibited within your own city, so that your migration to seek knowledge in another land will be successful.

Do you have patience? Do you strive through deeds that are unappealing or do you abandon them once the difficulties come? Surely, seeking knowledge at times does not have the same appeal that it had before you began. I mean, for example, the student who is excited about studying the Sciences of Hadeeth will one day find himself memorizing the biographies of narrators – when and where they lived, who they met and studied from, who met and studied under them, when and where they died, what did the Imaams of Hadeeth say about them, etc. The student studying Fiqh will find himself memorizing information like the amount of zakaah due on 91 camels, 50 sheep, or $3000 worth of merchandise. Or he may memorize who gets one-sixth of a deceased’s wealth, or who gets one-third, etc. Seeking knowledge is hard work that requires long hours of reading and memorization! It is often not as fun as it seemed in the beginning, nor will you always have the same zeal! Do you have the patience to stick with it over the years?

People who go to conferences often get tired of going to lectures on the second or third day! That is at a conference, with powerful speeches that speakers prepared well in advance! The student of knowledge’s life is like that every day, except the lectures he attends do not have that conference feel, that high-energy vibe, rather they are everyday presentations that require consistent attentiveness, active note-taking, and review time later. The enthusiasm that carries one through a conference is not going to last here. The student of knowledge must have exemplary patience to last over many years. Students can not expect to learn the details of the Deen in a just a year or two.

Can you get by in rough living circumstances? The Islamic universities like those in Saudi Arabia tend to have Western-style living conditions, but other places may not have anywhere near the things you are used to. A person may say that this does not matter, but the reality is that many students could not continue their studies in places like Yemen because of the extremely difficult living conditions. A two-week or one-month visit to the place you want to study at will help you decide if you can live there long term or not.

Do you have any skills or qualifications that would help you earn money during your studies? How will you get by financially? Have you saved any money? Becoming certified to teach ESL (English as a Second Language) does not take long, nor is it too expensive, and it is very useful in ‘Arab countries. A qualified ESL teacher can earn over $25 an hour in many places in Saudi Arabia, working part-time. Degrees in general are helpful, so if you are currently studying in a university, then finishing your studies is highly advisable, as that degree may be what helps you to stay abroad for the length of your Islamic studies.

If you are considering studying Islam abroad, then please consider this advice carefully. I hope that you find it beneficial, and Allaah knows best.

May Allaah Most High make the author from the firmest of the people upon this advice.

Regrets in Jannah(Paradise)

Forgiveness of all sins and wrongdoing

Good deeds  will be increased to seven hundred times

‪Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri [رضي الله عنه]: Allaah’s Messenger said:‬

*‪❝If a person embraces Islaam sincerely, then Allaah shall forgive all his past sins, and after that starts the settlement of accounts, the reward of his good deeds will be ten times to seven hundred times for each good deed and an evil deed will be recorded as it is unless Allaah forgives it.❞‬*

‪[Sahīh Bukhari, (1/41) | Translated By Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan]‬

Why saudi Arabia scholars follow kings order?

Why Saudi Arabia scholars do not object and oppose to king?

Why Saudi Arabia scholars are following King's order?

Shaikh Sālih al-Fawzān was asked:
“Respected Shaikh, yourself and your brothers who are scholars in this country are Salafīs – and all praise is due to Allāh – and your method in advising the rulers is that of the Sharīʿah and as the Prophet  has explained, yet there are those who find fault with you due to your neglect in openly rejecting the various oppositions [to the Sharīʿah] that have occurred. And yet others make excuses for you by saying that you are under the control and pressure of the state.  So do you have any words of direction or clarification to these people?”
So Shaikh al-Fawzān answered with clear and unambiguous words:

“There is no doubt that the rulers, just like people besides them, are not infallible. Advising them is an obligation. However, attacking them in the gatherings and upon the pulpits is considered to be the forbidden form of backbiting. And this evil is greater than that which occurred from the ruler since it is backbiting and because of what results from backbiting such as the sowing of the seeds of discord, causing disunity and affecting the progression of daʿwah (the call to Islām). Hence what is obligatory is to make sure advice reaches the rulers by sound and trustworthy avenues, not by publicizing and causing commotion. And as for reviling the Scholars of this country, that they do not give advice [to the rulers], or that they are being controlled in their affairs, this is a method by which separation between the Scholars, the youth and the society is desired, until it becomes possible for the mischief-maker to sow the seeds of his evil. This is because when evil suspicions are harbored about the Scholars, trust is no longer placed in them and then the chance is available for the biased partisans to spread their poison. And I believe that this thought is actually a schemed plot that has come into this country, and those who are behind it are foreign to this country . It is obligatory upon the Muslims to be cautious of it.”

Al-Ajwibah al-Mufīdah of Shaikh Sālih al-Fawzān

The woman of paradise

*``THE WOMAN OF JANNAH```*

In Suraah Ahzaab, Allah Ta`ala has mentioned the following ten qualities which every Muslim should strive to inculcate in themselves. The woman of Jannah is one who has the following qualities:

*1. SHE IS A MUSLIMAH:*

She readily, willingly and cheerfully submits to Allah’s commands. She does not question the wisdom of the Shariah. “Men have charge over women” says Allah. The woman of wonder does not believe in “gender equality, etc.” and does not suffer from an inferior complex, as she is fully aware that in her role as a home executive she gains the Pleasure of Allah Ta`ala.

*2. SHE IS A MU’MINAH:*

Filled with Imaan from head to toe, her faith is unshakable. Her quest and mission in life: to perfect her Imaan and serve her husband.

*3. SHE IS CONTENTED:*

The woman of Jannah is more than contented with her lot. She craves not an iota nor a drop of the Dunya. She has no complaints nor demands. She does not waste her time roaming in malls etc. as this does not enthrall her.

*4. SHE IS TRUTHFUL:*

Truthfulness is her trademark. In intention, in speech and deed, the woman of wonder is truthful to Allah and His Rasul (Sallallahu alayhi Wasallam). She is loyal to her husband. She detests falsehood, hypocrisy and pretence.

*5. SHE HAS SABR:*

The woman of Jannah is a mountain of Sabr. She has accepted Sabr as her lot since her desire is to enter Jannah. Sabr with her husband, Sabr with in-laws, Sabr with children, Sabr in overseeing the affairs of her home. Sabr, yes Sabr — lots and lots of it.

*6. SHE IS HUMBLE:*

Hidden deep within the bowels of the earth, lay gems and gold. These are only of benefit when the earth is cut and sliced apart.  The earth seldom takes offence. Instead it yields its riches to the very ones who destroyed its features. The women of Jannah is as humble as the earth, full of goodness to others without expecting anything in return. She seeks no name, no fame, no glory, no prizes, no acknowledgement for her deeds.

*7. SHE IS CHARITABLE:*

The woman of Jannah is always looking for ways to be charitable. In her free time, some times she would cook a pot of food for the poor or invite relatives. Sometimes knit a garment for an orphan. In speech she is charitable with praises for others. And yes, she fears propagating her charitable acts, lest it is told to her on the Day of Qiyaamah to find her rewards by those whom she sought to please in the World.

*8. SHE FASTS:*

Bearing her health in mind, she fasts regularly. Nafl fasts are conditional to her husband’s approval; Fardh fasts not so. The woman of Jannah hastens to complete her Qadha fasts.

*9. SHE IS CHASTE:*

The woman of Jannah jealously guards her chastity. In accordance to the commands of Allah Ta’ala she lowers her eyesight; remains glued indoors and converses in a non-alluring manner with strangers in times of severe need, from behind a curtain. The woman of wonder acts upon the Holy Qur’aan and ensures that she avoids anything that may attract the attention of forbidden males to herself Thus, she never passes the gathering of men having applied perfumes, nor does she attend weddings where she is exposed to others on the roads, etc.

Rasullullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam honoured  Hadhrat Fatima Radiallahu anha because she said that the best conduct of a woman is: “They (women) should not look at men and men should not look at them.” Such is the high degree of chastity of a woman of wonder!

*10. SHE REMEMBERS ALLAH IN ABUNDANCE:*

The woman of Jannah does not waste her precious time.
More precious than a pearl necklace around her neck, is a Tasbeeh in her hand. This soothes her aching heart which is always desirous for meeting Allah Ta’ala.

A woman of Jannah is intelligent and has no urge to prove how clever she is by hankering for a university degree. She recognizes that Allah has created her differently and that her role in life is different form that of a man. She understands fully that her husband is the door to her Jannah and service to him the key to that door. She does not betray his secrets nor seek the pleasure of others — be it her very own parents — at the expense of her husband’s displeasure. A wise shepherdess she is to her flock, caring and feeding them, clothing them and educating them, ever mindful that no harm befalls them and no pain afflicts them.

*HER PRIZE?*

Such a woman of Jannah has been promised by Allah His Forgiveness and an immense reward!

Such a woman’s name will echo throughout the plains of Qiyaamah. Her prize will be an entry into Jannah from any of its’ eight gates. Owing to her fear of Allah, perhaps to her surprise, she will find two Jannahs awaiting her. Therein she will know no pain, tiredness or fear. Gone are the days of making Sabr.

Forever she will remain young with countless of servants to serve her. Every conceivable delight will be at her fingertips. A lifetime was spent cooking, baking, frying, washing and in worry. Now she will simply be pampered with the most choicest of dishes. In lieu of remaining glued to the four walls of her house, she will be permitted to roam and fly on horses made of gold. In return for her obedience to Allah and His Rasul Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam, she now will sit with a crown on her head and have scores of damsels to beckon.

In return for upholding the correct Shar’i Hijaab, she will be adorned with clothing that will consist of seventy colourful shades. This true wonder of a woman’s prize is “what no eyes had seen, no ears had heard and no mind had conceived.”

May all our sisters have the Taufeeq to pursue this dream. (Ameen Ya Rabb!)

Quran is not created

✒  *Aqeedah Benefit*

A man asked Imām Aḥmad Raḥimahullāh: “Can I pray behind an alcoholic?”,

He replied: “No.”

Then he asked: “So can I pray behind one who says 'Qur’ān is created'?”

Imam Aḥmad said: “SubhānAllāh, I prohibited you from (praying behind) a Muslim then you ask me about a *Disbeliever*?!!”

Lesson to learn from above saying:

Don't pray Salah(Namaaz/prayer) behind disbeliever, mushriq and munafiq(hypocrite),drunkard Imam

Killing someone leads to self destruction

Let us remember the words of Asma bint Abu Bakr when she faced Hajjaj bin Yusuf, the killer of her son Abdullah b. Zubayr:

*“You may have destroyed his dunya. But he has destroyed your akhirah!”*

Practice before you preach..

‎Imaam Ahmad ibn Hanbal (رحمه الله) said, *‎"I have not written a hadeeth except that I have acted upon it, even if it was just once, as I do not want it to be a proof against me."*

Real Taqwa, Real and actual fear of Allah

Sign of Muttaqi person, pious and righteous person

*💠 The One Who Really Fear Allaah*

🎓Ibn Rajab رحمه الله said: *"The one who fears Allaah is not the one who simply cries and his eyes overflow with tears; rather, the one who really fears Allaah is he who leaves that which Allaah has prohibited even though his heart desires it and he has the ability to carry it out."*
📚[Rasaail Ibn Rajab (1/163)]

Who is real pious and righteous person?

Phrases about life which we should avoid..

⚡Avoid using the phrase: َسُنَّة الحياة
🚫"That's life"
🚫"Fact of life"
🚫"Circle of life"

➡️ And instead say: سُنَّةَ اللَّه "this is the Way of Allaah"

{That has been the Way of Allaah already with those who passed away before, and you will not find any change in the Way of Allaah}
📚 [Surah al-Ahzaab (33):60]
📚 [see also Surah al-Ahzaab (33):38; Surah Ghaafir (40):85; Surah al-Fath (48):23]

🎓 Shaikh al-Fawzaan حفظه الله said:
❌ A person should not say: "that's the circle of life" (or "that's how life is").

✔️ Rather, he should say: "this is the Way of Allaah in dealing with His creation". This is the Decree of Allaah and His Preordainment. A person should link (or attach) the matter (affair) to Allaah عز وجل. He should not link it to" life".

Perhaps this might not be far from the statement of those who used to say:

وَقَالُوا مَا هِيَ إِلَّا حَيَاتُنَا الدُّنْيَا نَمُوتُ وَنَحْيَا وَمَا يُهْلِكُنَا إِلَّا الدَّهْرُ

{And they say: "There is nothing but our life of this world, we die and we live AND NOTHING DESTROYS US EXCEPT AL-DAHR* (the time).}
📚 [Surah al-Jaathiyah (45): 24]

*The word AL-DAHR means: “A long period of time”, “era”, “eon”, “epoch” etc.

Seek knowledge not to show off

Yahya ibn Mua'adh (رحمه الله) said, *‎"Do not seek knowledge (of the religion) in order to show off, nor abandon (seeking) it due to shyness."*

‎[Hilyatul-Awliyah wa Tabaqāt al-Asfeeyaa, vol.10, pg.53,Dār al-Kutub al-'Ilmeeyah print, 1st edition]

Do not stop seeking knowledge due to shyness, avoid shyness clarify your doubts and queries

Seek knowledge from scholars

*The Consequences of Leaving the Scholars*

From Muhammad bin Sireen -rahimahullaah- who said:
'Indeed there were a people who left seeking knowledge and the gatherings of the scholars. They took to praying and fasting a lot, so much so that their skins had become dried on to their bones.

Then they opposed the Sunnah and they were destroyed. They spilt the blood of the Muslims.

I swear by Allaah whom there is none other worthy of worship, no one did an action based upon ignorance except that he caused more evil than rectification.'
[al-Istidhkaar by Ibn Abdul Barr 8/616]

Who are true brothers and true sisters?

_Ibn Hibbān Al-Bustī:_

*_"True brothers (or sisters) are known during times of need, for indeed everyone is a friend during the good times. And the worst of brothers (or sisters) are those that betray their brethren in times of hardship and need."_*

Source of power and strength

Ibn Taymeeyah [رحمه الله] said:

❝When a slave of Allaah confides in his Lord at the last part of the night and seeks aid from Him and says:

«يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ لَا إلَهَ إلَّا أَنْتَ بِرَحْمَتِك أَسْتَغِيثُ.»

*'O the Ever-Lasting O who protects all that exists. There is none worthy of worship except Allaah. I seek aid with Your Mercy.'*

*Then Allaah grants him power and strength the amount which only Allaah knows.❞*

How to cure diseases and ailments of Heart?

*A Healing For All The Diseases of The Heart*

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Allaah [The Most High] said:

وَنُنَزِّلُ مِنَ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانِ مَا هُوَ شِفَآءٌ۬ وَرَحۡمَةٌ۬ لِّلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ‌ۙ

And We send down from the Qur’an that which is a healing and a mercy to those who believe (in Islamic Monotheism and act on it). [Soorah Al-Israa: Ayah 82]

There are three statements [of the scholars] regarding the Qur’aan being a healing: [a] It is a healing for misguidance due to what it contains of guidance; [b] It is healing for illnesses due to what it contains of blessings; [c] It is healing due to its explanation and clarification of the obligatory duties and rulings of the religion. [1]

The Qur’aan is a healing for the hearts. It heals the diseases of ignorance, doubt and scepticism.  Allaah [The Most High] has never revealed a cure that is neither more comprehensive and beneficial, nor greater and quicker in removing diseases than the Qur’aan. [2]

The Qur’aan contains a healing for all [diseases] of the heart, such the disease of Shubhah [i.e. an affair that is made to resemble truth but is falsehood in reality], ignorance, corrupt views, perversion and evil aims; for indeed the Qur’aan is gathered upon ‘Al-Ilm Al-Yaqeenee-i.e. Knowledge of Absolute Certainty’ by way of which every shubhah and affair of ignorance is removed. It contains an admonition and a reminder by way of which every desire that is in opposition to the command of Allaah is removed. It is a healing for the bodies from what is harmful to them and its illnesses.  As for it being a Mercy, it is due to the means and paths it guides to. If the servant acts [upon those means and follows those paths], he [or she] will be successful, receive Mercy, an everlasting happiness, reward in this worldly life and everlasting reward in the Hereafter.  [3]

It (i.e. the Qur’aan) combines healing for the diseases of the heart, such as doubt, hypocrisy and other than that. It is a healing for the bodies when utilised for ruqya, such as what took place in the story of the man who performed ruqya with Soorah Faatihah on a man who was stung [by a scorpion]…. [4]

How to take decisions and Judgement?

Best Decision, opinion, Fatwa and Judgement

Basis of Decision and Judgement

Todays Beautiful Hadith is about Etiquette of Judgment

It was narrated from Shuraih that He wrote to 'Umar, to ask him (a question), and 'Umar wrote back to him telling him: "Judge according to what is in the Book of Allah. If it is not (mentioned) in the Book of Allah, then (judge) according to the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah . If it is not (mentioned) in the Book of Allah or the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah , then pass judgment according to the way the righteous passed judgment. If it is not (mentioned) in the Book of Allah, or the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah , and the righteous did not pass judgment concerning it, then if you wish, go ahead (and try to work it out by yourself) or if you wish, leave it. And I think that leaving it is better for you. And peace be upon you."

Beneficial learning

How to get rid of Jealousy,  enmity,  hatred, greed...

WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED?*

It has been reported from Shaqeeq al-Balkhee رحمه الله that he asked Haatim (al-Asam): You accompanied me for some time (now), so what have you learned?

Haatim said: (I have learned) Eight things:

1. As for the first: I looked at the creation (the humans), and everyone has something which is beloved to him, but when he reaches the grave, his beloved abandons him. So I made my good deeds as my beloved so that it accompanies me in the grave.

2. As for the second: I looked at the saying of Allaah
{and he restrained himself from impure evil desires, and lusts… } [Surah al-Naazi`aat (79): 40]

So I strove against myself in pushing away the desires till I was able to steady myself upon the obedience of Allaah

3. As for the third: I saw that everyone had something which was precious to him and he safeguarded it. Then I looked at the saying of Allaah
{Whatever is with you, will be exhausted, and whatever with Allaah will remain.} [Surah al-Nahl (16): 96]

So whenever I had something valuable, I turned it towards Allaah (i.e. gave it away in charity) so that it is preserved with Him for me.

4. As for the fourth: I saw that the people refer to (or boast about their) the wealth, noble lineage, or fame (and rank). So I looked at the saying of Allaah
{Verily, the most honorable of you with Allaah is that (believer) who has al-Taqwa} [Surah al-Hujuraat (49): 13]

So I worked towards attaining al-Taqwa so that I am among the honorable with Allaah.

5. As for the fifth: I saw people covet (envy) each other. I looked at the saying of Allaah
{It is We Who portion out between them their livelihood} [Surah al-Zukhruf (43): 32]

So I left off jealousy.

6. Sixth: I saw them having enmity towards one another. Then I saw the saying of Allaah
{Indeed, Shaitaan is an enemy to you; so take him as an enemy.} [Surah Faatir (35): 6]

So I left off their enmity and treated Shaitaan as my sole enemy.

7. Seventh: I saw them toiling themselves. Then I looked at the saying of Allaah
{And no (moving) living creature is there on earth but its provision is due from Allaah.} [Surah Hood (11): 6]

So I busied myself in fulfilling His rights upon me and I did not care for that which was with Him for me.

8. Eight: I saw them relying on their trade, their skills and their physical strength, so I trusted upon Allaah

Who is the best person?

Al-Haafiz Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali
said:
Ibn Abi Dunya narrated with his isnaad that ‘Ali said: “The best of you is every tempted one who repents (i.e., every time he is tempted by this world, he repents).” It was said, “What if he sins again?” He said, “He should ask Allaah for forgiveness and repent.” It was said, “What if he sins again?” He said, “He should ask Allaah for forgiveness and repent.” It was said, “What if he sins again?” He said, “He should ask Allaah for forgiveness and repent.” It was said, “For how long?” He said, *“Until the Shaytaan is defeated.”*

Ibn Maajah narrated a marfoo’ report from Ibn Mas’ood which says: *“The one who repents from sin is like the one who did not commit sin.”* (Classed as hasan by al-Albaani in Saheeh Ibn Maajah, 3427).

How shaytaan (satan)  is defeated, benefits of repentance, one who repents is the best person

Solution and remedy: If sin or evil deed is repeated and done hundred and thousand time...

It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: “A person committed a sin and said: ‘My Lord, I have sinned; forgive me.’ His Lord said: ‘Is My slave acknowledging that he has a Lord Who forgives sins and punishes for them? I have forgiven My slave.’ Then as much time passed as Allah willed, then he committed a sin and said, ‘My Lord, I have sinned; forgive me.’ His Lord said: ‘Is My slave acknowledging that he has a Lord Who forgives sins and punishes for them?  I have forgiven My slave.’ Then as much time passed as Allah willed, then he committed a sin and said, ‘My Lord, I have sinned; forgive me.’ His Lord said: ‘Is My slave acknowledging that he has a Lord Who forgives sins and punishes for them? I have forgiven My slave,’ – three times…” [al-Bukhari, Muslim].

Al-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy on him) included this hadeeth (narration) under the heading: “Acceptance of repentance from sins even if the sins and repentance happen repeatedly.”

He said in his Sharh (commentary):
We have already discussed this issue at the beginning of the Book of Repentance.
*These hadeeths (narrations) clearly point to that, and even if the sin is repeated a hundred times or a thousand times or more, and he repents each time, his repentance will be accepted and his sin will be erased. And if he repents once from them all, his repentance will be valid.*

It touched my heart, hence wanted to share..

Someone asked

*"What is the secret of your religiousness..?"*

Answer replied :
"I have understood 4 things..

1. I understood that *my RIZQ can not be taken by anyone, so my heart became content..*

2. I understood that *no one can do my amals (Ibadat, Neki and good deeds) for me, so I started doing them myself..*

3. I understood that *Allah Azzawazal is always watching me, so I became ashamed to do anything wrong..*

4. I understood that **death is waiting for me, so I started to prepare for my meeting with Allah Azzawazal. *

Islamic ruling:Always telling lies and habitual liar

Habitually telling lies when speaking is one of the characteristics of the hypocrites, as the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said:

“There are four characteristics, whoever has them all is a pure hypocrite, and whoever has one of them has one of the characteristics of hypocrisy, until he gives it up:

1. when he is entrusted with something,

2. he betrays that trust, when he speaks he lies,

3. when he makes a covenant he betrays it,

4. and when he disputes he resorts to obscene speech.”

Narrated by al-Bukhaari (34) and Muslim (58).

Seven temporary short lived pleasures and things of this world

*These Seven Temporary Pleasures of This Very Short-lived Worldly Life Should Not Distract Us

From The Everlasting Afterlife – [Brief Reminder From Imaam Ibnul Qayyim]*

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

Allaah [The Most High] said:

Beautified for men is the love of things they covet; women, children, much of gold and silver [wealth], branded beautiful horses, cattle and well-tilled land. This is the pleasure of the present world’s life; but Allah has the excellent return [Paradise with flowing rivers, etc.] with Him. [3:14]

*Women:* They are the greatest adornment of this worldly life, the most coveted thing and the greatest trial [i.e. the impious women].

*Children:* They are a source of honour and pride for a man etc

*Gold and silver:* They are a means of fulfilling one’s desires [i.e. wealth].

*Branded beautiful horses:* They are a source of might, pride and protection for their owners, and instruments of war, conquests etc

*Cattle:* They are utilised for riding, food, clothing (i.e. their furs and skins) and other benefits.

*Well-tilled land [i.e. Vegetation]:* A source of nourishment for them and their animals, and also a source of fruits and medication [i.e. through plants].

Allaah [Glorified be He] stated that all these things are the pleasures of this present worldly life. Then He [The Most High] urged His slaves towards the enjoyment of the Hereafter, saying:

Say: “Shall I inform you of things far better than those? For Al-Muttaqun [the pious] there are Gardens [Paradise] with their Lord, underneath which rivers flow. Therein [is their] eternal [home] and Azwajun Mutahharatun [purified mates or wives] [i.e. they will have no menses etc] and Allah will be pleased with them. And Allah is All-Seer of the (His) slaves”. [3:15]

Beware of seven things,  seven distractors, seven things can distract you from Akhirah and hereafter

A stupid person

*Person should know his shortcoming and he should be aware of his faults and deficiencies

Harmful effect of issuing Fatwa without knowledge

*Shaykh Ibn Baaz (may Allah have mercy on him) said:*

*One of the gravest of crimes is issuing fatwas without knowledge; how many have gone astray and been doomed as a result of that, especially if the fatwa was utter in front of many people and came from one by whom some people were deceived.* The dangers posed by that are great, and the consequences are severe. The one who issues fatwas without knowledge will bear a burden of sin like that of those who follow him.

On the authority of 'Abdullāh ibn 'Umar who said, the Messenger عليه السلام said:‬

*‪"The salām [i.e. greeting of Islām] comes before asking a question, whoever begins with some (other) speech before the salām then do not respond to him."‬*

‪As-Silsilah As-Sahīhah, Hadith 816 (2/459)‬

Related to the above, the Lajnah Ad-Dā`imah (Permanent Committee of Scholarly Research & Verdicts) were asked about responding to one who does not begin with the salām. They stated that it is upon you to respond to them then advise them that the Sunnah is to begin with the salām.‬

Special and most beautiful House and apartment in Jannah (Paradise)

*Special Apartments In Paradise For Those Who Perform The Night Prayer For The Sake of Allaah*

In The Name of Allaah, The Most Merciful, The Bestower of Mercy

The Messenger [sallal-laahu-alayhi-wasallam] said: “Indeed in Paradise there are apartments, whose exterior can be seen from their interior, and their interior can be seen from their exterior”. So a Bedouin stood up and said: “Who are they for, O Messenger of Allah?!” He said: “For those who speak good, feed others, fast regularly and perform prayer for the sake of Allah at night, whilst the people are asleep”.

"What is the best thing a person is ever given?"

He replied, "Innate intelligence."

Brotherhood...unity....after Debate

Imam Shafi’i on Brotherhood: Be brothers, even if you disagree on issues

Yunus al-Sadafi reported: I have not seen anyone wiser than Al-Shafi’i, may Allah be pleased with him. I debated him one day over an issue, and then we separated. He later met me and took my hand, then he said, “O Abu Musa, can we not continue to be brothers, even if we disagree on an issue?”

Leave useless things

It is reported that ʿAbdullaah ibn ʿAmr ibn Al-ʿAas (radhiAllaahu anhu) said:

*"Leave alone what you have nothing to do with, and do not speak about what does not concern you, and secure your tongue like you secure your money."*

Beware of Evil eye...Protect yourself and your family from Evil eye

Everything that happens in your life, you take a nice picture of it and push it down. Doesn’t it happen nowadays? Watch out! Be careful! People are suffering and struggling.

Why?

The evil eye is the truth.

You are inviting people to have the evil eye on you: look what I ate! I’ve seen people’s profiles every meal, they change the picture! Why?

“Because I had turkey.”

“Wow! Did you have turkey?”

“And I have this and that, and this is the juice I had and the drink I had, and this is where I went, and this is the hotel I stayed in, and this is how beautiful this was, this is the dress I bought…”

Every single thing and every while you dress your child and the picture is up, and you dress another child and the picture is up…

2 Lessons from Chapter Yusuf
There is a lesson, go back to chapter Yusuf, there are two times that we learn a lesson in this regard.

And he said, “O my sons, do not enter from one gate but enter from different gates; and I cannot avail you against [the decree of] Allah at all. The decision is only for Allah ; upon Him I have relied, and upon Him let those who would rely [indeed] rely.” (Quran 12:67)

One was when the brothers were all entering into that particular palace in order to get their food, the Father says: “enter separately.”

And one of the reasons mentioned in the books of tafseer is, “so that the people’s eye does not catch you all, and does not affect you with the evil eye.”

That was one of the lessons that we learn.

He said, “O my son, do not relate your vision to your brothers or they will contrive against you a plan. Indeed Satan, to man, is a manifest enemy. (Quran 12:5)

And here, as well the father says:

“Do not relate this dream to your brothers.”

How to Avoid the Evil Eye
So, my brothers and sisters think for a moment before you upload your pictures and before you actually put your food and everything else.

You know, we are not saying that you should divorce yourself completely from technology, but what we are saying make good use of it, make the best use of it, but do not use it to destroy your own self.

You can tell genuine people sometimes some goodness you’ve been in, but it does not have to be everything.

Because, let me be honest, you send one, two, three, ten pictures and some people who see it are wishing for it all their lives, working towards it, and you have it with so much ease.

Do you think they will be able to digest it? They will come a stage in their lives when they start feeling something towards you… Look at this person they have heaven on earth! And they don’t know the problems you have in this dunya.

Imagine if we were to put up profiles about the bad things that happened in our lives all the time, we would be living in gloom and doom. But man is such, by nature, he wants a good picture of himself.

So, there’s no harm in portraying that good image, but it does not need to be the finer details of your life. Leave that between you and your loved ones.

And sometimes if you really want perhaps once in a while, you may want to share it with a selected view.

Ruling on reciting Quran loudly in Masjid

Ibn Taymiyyah:
*"One should not read the Qur'aan loudly if the people are performing voluntary prayer so that they are distracted."*

How to show gratitude to Allah?

Shaikh Muhammad Ibn Saaleh al-`Uthaymeen رحمه الله said: *❝A believer shows his gratitude to Allaah for the favors bestowed upon him by fulfilling the obligations and being obedient to Him.❞*

[Sharh Riyaadh al-Saaliheen (1/198)]

How to be grateful to Allah

How to overcome fear of satan and jinn?

Imām Muqbil bin Hādi al-Wādi’ee رحمه الله said:

*_“Therefore if you are strong in Aqeedah [creed and belief, which is the foundation of the religion], the Jinn and Satan will [both] have fear of you. Yet if you are unsteady in Aqeedah [creed and belief[, you may well fear your own shadow!”_*

Three types of injustice

*The Three Types of Dhulm -[Oppression or Injustice]*

*What is Dhulm -injustice or oppression?* Dhulm [injustice (or oppression)] is of three types according to the people of knowledge (i.e. the scholars):

*Firstly:*
The greatest of them is shirk and why is shirk referred as Dhulm [injustice]? That is because the basis of injustice is to place something in other than its rightful place. And the meaning of shirk is to direct acts of worship to other than its rightful place and this is the greatest injustice – because when they (i.e. the people of shirk) directed acts of worship to other than its rightful place and to those who are not deserving of it, they equated the created (beings) to the Creator and a weak one (i.e. a created being) to Al-Qawiy [The One Perfect in Strength (i.e. Allaah)], who is not unable to do anything. Therefore, is there any greater injustice after this?

*The second type of Dhulm* [injustice] is committed when a person oppresses himself by committing sins. A sinner oppresses himself because he exposes himself to punishment, even though it is obligated on his to save himself and place himself in an appropriate situation and that is to obey Allaah etc

*The third type of Dhulm* [injustice] is committed when a person oppresses others (or commits injustice against them) by taking their wealth (unlawfully), or backbiting them, or spreading tales about them, or stealing their wealth, or violating their honour through backbiting, tale carrying, slander, or shedding their blood by way of unlawful murder, or beating them, inflicting injuries, degrading them without right etc

Innovator is worse than sinner and evil doer

Mixing with a sinner or an innovator:

Which is worse?
Ibn Taymiyyah and Sa’eed Ibn Jubayr

Sa’eed Ibn Jubayr (rahimahullaah) said:

“That my son should accompany a sinful highway robber who is a Sunnee is more beloved to me than him taking as his companion a worshipping innovator.”

Mentioned by Ibn Battah in “Al-Ibaanatus-Sughraa”, no. 132.

Sufyaan ath-Thawree (died 161H) explained the reason for this as follows:

“Innovations are more beloved to Iblees than sins, for indeed sins are repented from whilst innovations are not repented from.”

Reported by ‘Alee Ibn Ja’d in his “Musnad” 1809; Al-Laalikaa’ee in “Sharhu Usool I’tiqaad Ahlis-Sunnah wal-Jamaa’ah” 1885; Abu Nu’aym in “Al-Hilyah” 7/26

Tawbah of the sinner

*Praying for the Tawbah of the Sinner*

It is reported that ʿAbdullah b. Masʿud - Allah be pleased with him - said:
If you see a man amongst you having committed a sin, do not supplicate Allah against him and do not revile him; instead, pray to Allah to cure him and accept his repentance, for when we used to see a man die upon something good, we would have hope for him, and when we used to see a man die upon wrongdoing, we would fear for him.
