Quotes, Status on self examination and introspection : Days and life are decreasing, sins, evil deeds and bad deeds are increasing

Shaykh ibn ‘Uthaymeen [may Allāh have mercy on him] said:

“Days are passing, yet I do not know whether I am increasing in closeness to Allāh or distancing myself?

Have we self-examined and introspected ourselves regarding this matter?!”
