Ibrāheem ibn Adham [may Allāh have mercy on him] said:
“I was [once] in the womb of my mother alone [unknown and unmentioned], I entered this world alone and I will die alone. I will enter my grave alone, I will be questioned [in my grave] alone and I will be resurrected from my grave alone. I will be taken to account alone. If I enter Paradise, I will enter it alone. If I enter the Hellfire, I will enter it alone. In these situations no one will benefit me. Therefore, what interest do I have in people?!
