Excessive Love: Don't excessively love Scholars and Shaykhs

 Shaykh ul-Islām ibn Taymiyyah [may Allāh have mercy on him] said: 

“Many people have excessiveness within themselves, in their love for their Shaykhs, so much so that it is similar to that of the Shi’ites having excessiveness for the(ir) Imāms.”
