From Abu Sa’eed and Abu Hurairah RadhiAllaahu anhumma that they testified that the Messenger of Allaah sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam said:
‘Whoever said:
لأ إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَالله أَكْبَر
There is none worthy of worship except Allaah, Allaah is the greatest
Then his Lord accepts this and says there is none worthy of worship except Me and I am the greatest.
When he says
لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا الله وَحْدَهُ،
There is none worthy of worship except Allaah Alone.
The Prophet said that Allaah says There is none worthy of worship except Me Alone.
And when he says
لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا الله لَا شَرِيكَ لَه
There is none worthy of worship except Allaah and He has no associate with Him
the Prophet said that Allaah says My slave has been truthful there is none worthy of worship except Me and I have no associate with Me.
And when he said
لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا الله وحده لَا شَرِيكَ لَه
لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ
There is none worthy of worship except Allaah Alone with no associate, His is the Dominion and for Him is the praise,
the Prophet said that Allaah says there is none worthy of worship except Me, for Me is the Dominion and for Me is the praise.
When he says
لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا الله وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِالله
There is none worthy of worship except Allaah and there is no capability nor is there any power except with Allaah
Allaah says there is none worthy of worship except Me and there is no capability nor is there any power except from Me.
Whoever is given the ability to say these at the time of his death will not be touched by the fire.’
