Don't overburden yourself, don't go to extreme, don't go deep into useless matters, don't be arrogant

 Be humble, Allah will raise your rank, elevate your status.

Qatādah رحمه الله stated: 

*"Beware of overburdening (oneself), delving too deep (into matters), extremism and being amazed with oneself. Be humble and Allāh will raise you up (to a noble status with Him)."*
