Example of Worldly life: Salty water, thirst and destruction

 Al-Imām ibn al-Jawzi [may Allāh have mercy on him] said:


“It was said: ‘The example of a person who seeks the worldly-life is like that of a person who drinks [salt] water from the ocean. The more he drinks, the thirstier he becomes, until he is killed by it!’”
