Real Superiority: No one is superior due to his wealth, lineage, status, ancestors, property, popularity and strength

Shaykh ul-Islām ibn Taymiyyah [may Allāh have mercy on him] said:

“There is not a single āyah in the Book of Allāh which extols anyone due to their lineage. Nor [is there an āyah] which vilifies anyone.

Certainly, a person is extolled due to his [level of] faith, fear and pleasure [of Allāh] and he who is dispraised, is censured and criticised for his disbelief, outward display of immorality and disobedience [to Allāh].”

Majmū’ al-Fatāwa, 35/230 | Shaykh ul-Islām ibn Taymiyyah [may Allāh have mercy on him]

“...Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. [Quran 49:13]
