Saalim reports from his father [ibn Umar (radiyAllaahu anhumaa) that,
The Messenger of Allaah (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) heard a person censuring his brother due to his being modest whereupon he said, "indeed modesty is a branch of faith." (Saheeh Ibn Majah)
