Allah does not love arrogance, self conceit and vanity

Allah does not love those who exhibit unjustifiable pride, self-conceit, or vanity arising from some imaginary or fancied excellence in themselves; and those who boast, glorify, praise or commend themselves or arrogate to themselves greatness or nobility or superiority by reason of things extrinsic to themselves such as wealth, rank, station, parentage, relationships, ancestors and so on; and those who consider themselves great as of the most excellent of the creation and as having privileges which others have not, and act proudly, haughtily or insolently[Holy Quran 4:36, 31:18, 57:27, 16:23]
