Protection from Devil and Satan:Control of Devil and Satan and how to get rid of them

Satan and devil flow in body like blood

The devil has full control over man’s heart, then when man remembers Allah he withdraws, and when he neglects to remember Him, he whispers to him.

He knows whether he is remembering Allah or is neglecting to remember Him, and he knows the whims and desires of his heart and makes them appear attractive to him.

It is proven in al-Saheeh, in the hadeeth (narration) mentioned by Safiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “The shaytan flows through the sons of Adam like blood.”

The closeness of the angels and the shaytan to the heart of the son of Adam is something that is confirmed in many reports, whether the person is a believer or a disbeliever.  Majmoo’ al-Fatawa.

Miracles of Prophet Isa( peace be upon him)

Signs of Allah

Miracles of prophet Eesa son of Mary( Isa son of Mariyam) Alaihissalam ( peace be upon him)

Verses of Holy Quran:

“And [make him] a messenger to the Children of Israel, [who will say], ‘Indeed I have come to you with a sign from your Lord in that I design for you from clay [that which is] like the form of a bird, then I breathe into it and it becomes a bird by permission of Allah . And I cure the blind and the leper, and I give life to the dead - by permission of Allah . And I inform you of what you eat and what you store in your houses. Indeed in that is a sign for you, if you are believers.

‘And [I have come] confirming what was before me of the Torah and to make lawful for you some of what was forbidden to you. And I have come to you with a sign from your Lord, so fear Allah and obey me

‘Indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. That is the straight path’”

[Aal ‘Imraan 3:49-51]

“And [beware the Day] when Allah will say, ‘O Jesus, Son of Mary, did you say to the people, “Take me and my mother as deities besides Allah ?”’ He will say, ‘Exalted are You! It was not for me to say that to which I have no right. If I had said it, You would have known it. You know what is within myself, and I do not know what is within Yourself. Indeed, it is You who is Knower of the unseen

‘I said not to them except what You commanded me - to worship Allah , my Lord and your Lord. And I was a witness over them as long as I was among them; but when You took me up, You were the Observer over them, and You are, over all things, Witness’”

[al-Maa’idah 5:116-117].

He performed miracles by permission and help of Allah

Both son and daughter have responsibility towards parents

Both son and daughter should take of their parents

If the parents need to be looked after, it is obligatory for all their children, whether male or female, to help them, either by doing this themselves or by hiring someone to do it.

As-Safaareeni said in Ghidha’ al-Albaab (1/390): Parents’ rights also include: serving or helping them if both of them, or one of them, needs that. End quote.

In al-Mawsoo‘ah al-Fiqhiyyah (19/39) it says: With regard to the child serving or helping his or her parent, or the parent asking his or her child to help him or her, that is permissible and there is no difference of scholarly opinion concerning that. In fact, this comes under the heading of honouring one’s parents that is enjoined in Islamic teachings, and it is obligatory for the child to take care of his or her parent, or to hire someone to do that, when needed. Hence it is not permissible for the child to charge a fee for doing that, because it is duty that is required of him or her, and in the case of one who does a duty that is required of him or her towards someone else, it is not permissible to charge a fee for this.

How to overcome habit of masturbation?

1) The motive to seek a cure for this problem should be solely following Allah's orders and fearing His punishment.

2) A permanent and quick cure from this problem lies in marriage as soon as the person is able, as shown in the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) hadeeth.

3) Keeping oneself busy with what is good for this world and the Hereafter is essential in breaking this habit before it becomes second nature after which it is very difficult to rid oneself of it.

4) Lowering the gaze (from looking at forbidden things such as pictures, movies etc.) will help suppress the desire before it leads one to commit the haram (forbidden). Allah orders men and women to lower their gaze as shown in the following two verses and in the Prophet's hadeeth.

{Tell the believing men to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things) and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts, etc.). That is purer for them. Verily, Allah is all-aware of what they do. And tell the believing women to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things) and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts, etc.) ..... } (24: 30-31)

Allah's Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not follow a casual (unintentional) look (at forbidden things) with another look." Al-Tirmidhi, 2777. This is a general instruction by the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to abstain from all that may sexually excite a person because it might lead him/her to commit the haram (forbidden).

5) Using one's available leisure time in worshipping Allah and increasing religious knowledge.

6) Being cautious not to develop any of the medical symptoms that may result from masturbation such as weak eyesight, weak nervous system, and/or back pain. More importantly, feeling of guilt and anxiety that can be complicated by missing obligatory prayers because of the need to shower (ghusl) after every incidence of masturbation, especially in the winter, and the invalidating of the fast.

7) Avoiding the illusion that some youth have that masturbation is permissible because it prevents them from committing illegal sexual acts such as fornication or even homosexuality, while they may not be at the gates of that immorality to begin with.

8) Strengthening one's willpower and not surrendering to the shaytan, and avoiding spending time alone as recommended by the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when he said "Do not spend the night alone" Ahmad, 6919.

9) Following the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) aforementioned hadeeth and fasting when possible, because fasting will temper one's sexual desire and keep it under control. However, one should not overreact and swear by Allah not to return to the act because if one does not honor one's promise, one would be facing the consequences of not living up to one's oath to Allah. Also, note that medication to diminish one's sexual desire is strictly prohibited because it might permanently affect one's sexual ability.

10) Trying to follow the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) recommendation concerning the etiquette of getting ready for bed, such as reading the well-known supplications, sleeping on the right side, and avoiding sleeping on the belly (the Prophet-peace and blessings be upon him- forbade sleeping on the belly).

11) Striving hard to be patient and chaste, because persistence will eventually, Allah willing, lead to attaining those qualities as second nature, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) explains in the following hadeeth:

"Whoever seeks chastity Allah will make him chaste, and whoever seeks help from none but Allah, He will help him, and whoever is patient He will make it easy for him, and no one has ever been given anything better than patience." Al-Bukhari:1469.

12) If one falls into this sin, they must hasten to repenting, asking forgiveness from Allah, doing good deeds, and not losing hope and feeling despair; these are all prerequisites to curing this problem. Note that losing hope is one of the major sins punishable by Allah.

13) Finally, Allah is the Most Merciful and He always responds to whoever calls on Him. So, asking for Allah's forgiveness and help will be accepted, by His will.

What should be the first thing taught to the child?

  *Teaching the CHILD: Kalimatut-Tawheed*

*(LAA ILAAHA ILLALLAH* *– There is none deserving of Worship in truth except ALLAAH)*

So the first of what the child begins with in speech, obligatory upon al-waalidayn (the father and mother), is teaching him Kalimatut-Tawheed (LAA ILAAHA ILLALLAH), and to instruct to it.

Ibn Abbaas (radhi allahu anhum) narrates that An-Nabiyy (the Prophet) (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said:

*"Establish upon your children the first statement, LAA ILAAHA ILLALLAH and instruct them at the time of death LAA ILAAHA ILLALLAH*".

Umm Sulaym (radhi allahu anha), used to teach her son Anas (radhi allahu anhu) to say:

*LAA ILAAHA ILLALLAH (There is none deserving of Worship in truth except ALLAAH). Say: I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of ALLAAH, and that was before Al-Fitaam (the end of 2 year suckling or nursing period of a baby from his mother).*

It must be repeated in front of him, and this is pertaining to the mother and she plays with him. It then becomes habitual. To bring about understanding, she explains to him a simple explanation teaching him its meaning.

*He knows that ALLAAH is One, and HE has no partner(s).*

*HE (ALLAAH) is Al-Khaaliq (The Creator)*.

*HE (ALLAAH) is Above the heavens, and HE Rises Above HIS Arsh (Throne*).

*HE (ALLAAH) is Fully aware (in sight and knowledge) over us and Knowledgeable of our affairs.*

*HE (ALLAAH) Hears and Sees. Verily HE is Al-Qaadir (HIS Will and Decree is over everything)*.

*Trusting upon ALLAAH becomes habitual and ALLAAH is Ash-Shaafee (the ONE Who Cures and Gives good health).*

*It is OBLIGATORY upon us to love HIM (ALLAAH) and to worship HIM.*

Likewise, the child is to be taught to love An-Nabiyy (sallallahu alaihi wasallam), and to obey him. That he (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) loved children and played with them and similar to that of what she (the mother) teaches him (the child) of their understanding.

It is repeated upon them (children):

*Who is your LORD?*

*Who is your Prophet?*

*What is your Religion?*

 and

*Where is ALLAAH?.*

He (the child) learns about love of the Sahabas (radhi allahu almajmaeen) and the righteous (rahimamullah).

He (the child) MEMORISES:

Al-Faatihah,

Suratul-Ikhlaas and

Al-Mu’awwidhatayn ( Suratul-Falaq and Suratun-Naas).

How to know whether menses( period, menstrual cycle) is over?

A woman may know that her menses has ended by one of two signs:

1 – dryness, which is when the bleeding and yellowish and brownish discharges stop. This may be determined by inserting a piece of cotton and the like, and it comes out clean with no trace of what we have mentioned above.

2 – the white discharge, which is a liquid like plaster. Many women do not see this white discharge. If there is dryness, that is sufficient to deem the menses over, and there is no need to wait for the white discharge.

Al-Baaji said in al-Muntaqa Sharh al-Muwatta’ (1/119): What is usually the case is that the end of menses may be verified in two ways:

[The first is] the white discharge. ‘Ali ibn Ziyaad narrated from Maalik that it resembles semen. Ibn al-Qaasim narrated from Maalik that is resembles urine.

The second thing is dryness. That is when a woman inserts cotton or cloth into her vagina, and it comes out dry with no trace of blood on it.

Women vary in that regard. Some of them usually see the white discharge, and some usually see dryness. In the case of one who usually sees one of the two, when she sees it, it is deemed that her menses has ended.

Secondly: Making sure that menses has ended

If your menses usually lasts for seven or eight days, then at the end of the seventh day you should look to see whether your menses has ended or not. It is not valid to wait for twenty-four hours, and then do ghusl without inserting a piece of cotton and the like, and without emission of the white discharge. That is for two reasons:

The first is that menses may end at the end of the seventh day, so your method could result in missing prayers and obligatory fasts.

The second is that menses may continue until after the eighth day, in which case your ghusl – without checking whether menses has in fact ended – will not be valid.

Based on that, you must check, by inserting cotton, and it is not sufficient merely to wipe the outside, let alone waiting for some time and then doing ghusl.

Thirdly:

Some of the scholars think that it is not necessary for a woman to check whether her menses has ended in the depths of the night. Rather she should check close to the time of prayer, and she should do that before she goes to sleep and at the time of Fajr prayer, i.e., before sunrise.

Al-Bukhaari (may Allah have mercy on him) said in his Saheeh: Chapter on the Beginning and End of Menses … The daughter of Zayd ibn Thaabit heard that some women were calling for lamps in the depths of the night, to see if their menses had ended.

She said: The women never used to do this, and she criticized them for that. End quote.

This report was narrated by Maalik in al-Muwatta’.

Ibn ‘Abd al-Barr (may Allah have mercy on him) said: The daughter of Zayd ibn Thaabit only criticized the women for checking themselves at a time other than the time of prayer or close to the time of prayer because the depths of the night is not a time for prayer; rather the women should check themselves for the purpose of prayer, then if they see that their menses has ended they should prepare themselves to do ghusl because they have to pray.

See also: al-Muntaqa Sharh al-Muwatta’ by al-Baaji (1/120); Fath al-Baari by Ibn Hajar (1/421).

Ad-Dardeer said in ash-Sharh al-Kabeer (1/172): The menstruating woman does not have to – and it is neither obligatory nor recommended – to check whether her menses has ended before Fajr, so that she can catch up with  Maghrib and ‘Isha’ and fast. Rather that is makrooh (disliked) because that is not how it is done. And because the imam said: I do not like that. Rather she should check herself before going to sleep at night, so that she will know whether she can pray qiyaam and fast. The basic principle is that she is as she was, but at the time of Fajr and other prayers she must do that, but not immediately, until when there is only enough time left to do ghusl and pray, that becomes an urgent obligation. End quote.

And Allah knows best.

What is Supreme, Highest and Greatest Achievement?

Praise be to Allah.

Supreme, Highest and Greatest Achievement and Reward: Pleasure of Allah

The greatest goal a believer  is seeking the pleasure of the Lord of the Worlds.

Allah says (interpretation of the meaning): “Allah has promised the believing men and believing women gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally, and pleasant dwellings in gardens of perpetual residence; but approval from Allah is greater. It is that which is the great attainment” [at-Tawbah 9:72].

It was narrated by al-Bukhaari in his Saheeh (6549) and by Muslim in his Saheeh (2829) that Abu Sa‘eed al-Khudri said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Allah, may He be blessed and exalted, will say to the people of Paradise: ‘O people of Paradise!’ They will say: ‘Here we are at Your service, our Lord.’ He will say: ‘Are you pleased?’ They will say: ‘How could we not be pleased, O Lord, when You have given us that which You have not given to anyone else among Your creation?’ He will say: ‘Shall I not give you something even better than that?’ They will say: ‘O Lord, what can be better than that?’ He will say: ‘I bestow My pleasure upon you and I will never be angry with you after that.’”

Hypocrite pleases people and displeases Allah

The sign of the hypocrites is that they are keen to please people, even if that angers the Lord of the Worlds.

Greatest reward of Pleasing Allah:

Ibn Hibbaan narrated in his Saheeh (277) from ‘Aa’ishah that the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever pleases Allah by angering the people, Allah will suffice him, but whoever angers Allah by pleasing the people, Allah will leave him to the people.” Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in as-Silsilah as-Saheehah

People will never get pleased:

Ash-Shaafa‘i (may Allah have mercy on him) said to Yoonus ibn ‘Abd al-A‘la: O Abu Moosa, if you were to strive your utmost to please all the people, there is no way to do that. As that is the case, then make your deeds and your intention sincerely for Allah (may He be glorified in exalted) alone.

Narrated by al-Bayhaqi in Shu‘ab al-Eemaan (6518).

Don't give preference to what people feel , gossip and talk about you behind your back

Al-Bayhaqi narrated in az-Zuhd al-Kabeer (180) with a saheeh isnaad from al-Hasan al-Basri that it was said to him: People come to your gathering to pick on any error you may make, so that they can make it a reason to gossip about you. He said: Do not worry about it, for I thought of the pleasure of being close to Allah and I hope for that; I thought of Paradise and I hope for that; I thought of al-hoor al-‘een and I hope for that; I thought of being safe from people, and I found no way to achieve that. When I saw that people are not pleased with their Creator, I realized that they will never be pleased with a created being like themselves.

If we give preference to pleasure of Allah, then we will live happy, contended, satisfied , peaceful and good life

And if we give preference and priority to pleasure of people, then we will live miserable, unsatisfied, sad and disturbed life.
