Shaykh ul-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah [may Allāh have mercy on him] said:

“Allāh is more merciful to His servants than the most merciful of mothers is to her child, for indeed He [Allāh] is the One who made her, the mother merciful, therefore He is more merciful than her.”

Majmū al-Fatāwa 16/448 | Shaykh ul-Islām ibn Taymiyyah [may Allāh have mercy on him]

Islamic quote on Fear

Al-Imām ibn Rajab [may Allāh have mercy on him] said:

“Some of the Pious Predecessors and Successors said: ‘The one who fears Allāh is not he who weeps and his eyes overflow with tears. Certainly, the one who fears Allāh is he who abandons [his] desires which are unlawful [unto him], whilst being able to perform it [i.e. the unlawful act(s)].  The greatest reward is for he who obeys Allāh in private.”

Majmū’ Rasāʼil, 1/163 | Al-Imām ibn Rajab [may Allāh have mercy on him]

Sins which lead to punishment

Every sin that a believer commits because he makes a mistake, or forgets, or is forced to do it, is forgiven by Allah.

*“And there is no sin on you concerning that in which you made a mistake, except in regard to what your hearts deliberately intend”*
[Qur'an, 33:5]

We will be held responsible for sins committed deliberately. But if we repent and seek forgiveness of Allah sincerely. Then Allah will forgive our sins and shortcomings.

Don't lose hope .

Allah is Merciful.
