Two best and Two Worst Morsels : Tongue and Heart of Sheep

Luqmān was an Ethiopian slave who was a carpenter. One day, his master said to him: ‘Slaughter this sheep for us,’ therefore he did as he commanded and slaughtered it. His master said [to him]: ‘Bring the best two morsels from it,’ he brought forth the tongue and the heart. After some time passed, as much as Allāh willed, his master said [to him]: ‘Slaughter this sheep for us,' he did as he was instructed and slaughtered it.

His master said: ‘Bring forth the worst two morsels from it,’ therefore, he brought out the tongue and the heart. [Seeing the two morsels] his master [bewildered] said to Luqmān: ‘I told you to bring out the best two morsels, and you brought the tongue and the heart, then I told you bring out the worst two morsels and you brought the tongue and the heart!’ Luqmān replied: ‘There is nothing better than these if they are good, and there is nothing worse than these if they are bad.’”
